and wow tiger supporters need to learn to cop a bit of banter. Especially from Essendon supporters we've been giving those druggies shower all year, and will continue giving it to them for the foreseeable future and give them credit they take it reasonably well ;)

Hey, you know what? I can't even remember the last time Richmond made the finals. So to make the finals is a massive achievement for our young team, so I think I'm just gonna be content making the finals in the first place. Sure I'm disappointed we lost but there's always next year, we'll be back. Still a lot of developing to do.

We've been copping banter for a good while now I think we know how to handle it. Don't worry, i'm sure you'll experience it after Hawthorn do the seemingly impossible and choke yet again.

If Hawthorn does lose to Geelong again in the prelim there will be worse than what Richmond has copped today. :P

That was a disappointing game, Richmond dominated in every aspect but gave it away in the end. I think a lack of finals experience isn't an excuse when you consider my team did perfectly fine away from home against harder opposition. The tigers had a stellar year but 5th place shouldn't be knocked out first round unless they are the Dees or the Roos. I know the supporters must be distraught atm but my advice is Richmond should easily be a top 4 team next year (if they don't atleast finish 5th it will be ridiculous). Forget the finals this year, remember the season (this was the only game of the year the players let you down, almost every other game was perfect, be proud of that)

P.S. Carlton didn't deserve to be in the finals in the first place, but due to this win I think they have proven that they are a strong (but like Port) but inconsistant team :)

I have watched the banter in this thread for a couple of days. Richmond you should be proud of what the club achieved this year first time in finals for a number of years and the experience earned will stand you will in the future. It was obvious to me that lack of experience in big matches was one of the reasons you lost this final.

Firm believer that you need to lose finals before you win them as it stiffens the resolve and adds experience.  We lost 2 finals as well prior to out 3 peat.

So I will be watching Tigers over the next couple of years as I believe with luck with injuries you can win a premiership with the talent you now have.

I agree. Feel for Tigers fans, where there is passion there is also elation and disappointment nearby. In time the disappointment of an Elimination loss will disappear and the joy of a very good year will come through. Its all the harder to swallow at the minute because it was the Blues and if not for the Bombers transgressions wouldn't of even been there, that's hard to swallow. Blues fans should be feeling fortunate and keep that in mind when taking pot shots at the Richmond faithful, do it with some class. Those that support neither side but feel the need to take pot shots are sadly the same crowd that bob up here everytime another club stuffs up and sticks it up those fans. Some folk get a rush knowing what they are writing will hurt and anger and cause angst among us, that really says more about them than the rest of us.
