New recruits vs Spudding reserves?

So I have Heppell and Hartlett in my backline, as well as Shaw, Staker and McKenzie. Also have Stanton and Marc Murphy vying for M8.

Do I

A) Trade Heppell and Hartlett (both unlikely to play again this season) for two premo defenders? (Bob Murphy and Corey Enright)

or

B) Trade Hartlett for a premo defender (Enright? Murphy?) and trade Stanton to Griffen?

If I go option A) I would play Marc Murphy over Stanton, meaning the decision comes down to

Marc Murphy & Bob Murphy vs Griffen & H. Shaw./McKenzie. Who will score more?

Griffen + Shaw/McKenzie will score more easily, but why would you play Murphy over Stanton? If it was Stanton + Bob Murphy, I'd go them.

vs Carlton. Stanton got tagged out of the game last time they played, scored a 50 something. Last week Cotchin got tagged out of it as well. Plus bombers are well on the slide, so I definitely think Carlton can probably win and Murphy will likely score more than Stants.
