So after all the research and all the careful planning... it still came down to 1 bad week where all your premo players just didn't come to play!! What a waste of my time! Out of my cash league with a full side of premos! Feels like someone just gave me a big fat f u... how do you work up the desire to wanna play this stupid game again next year when in reality you have no control over anything!?

You say that now, come NAB cup next year you'll already have drafted your side 10 times, let's be honest.

She's a fickle mistress, I luckily scraped through into prelims despite havin Heater, Ibbo out with Blee (32) as emg, and another 4 players getting 60 or less. Got lucky, think that's my get out of jail free card played.
I think defenders have ruined everyone this season, so much time spent getting in "premos" only to have them churn out scores of ~70 or less. Goddard just about the only one who hasn't made me pull out my own hair.

You win some, you lose some.

I had Martin, cotchin, danger, griffin, fyfe, heppell, shaw, hanley... what are the odds of them ALL spudding up in the same round during finals? You think when you put in this much effort you would have control over some things but really it just come down to luck. I'm going back to tipping next year stuff this.

I try not to get so emotionally involved in a virtual team ;)

You probably wouldn't expect them to all potato in unison but equally half that list haven't proven reliability (Fyfe, Martin, Heppele, Shaw). Cotchin and Hanley may have let you down, Griffen and Danger not so great a week but equally 78 and 86 aren't terrible scores.

Tipping just less involved research, same general idea...

Jesty

Money is all mine next year ;D

woofy

This game does take up ALOT of your time. Although as long as its free to enter, when supercoach opens up for another year you can't help the urge of filling in those 30 blank spots!

MalteserMan

Sucks to be on the wrong side of it :O

I won my game because my opponent had premiums that had stinkers or got injured, Martin, Cotchin, Heppell, captained ablett.

Consider yourself lucky! My team conisted of the following spuds:

D: Hanley, Heppell, Shaw, Hartlett reported
M: Ablett as C, Cotchin, Griffin
R: Mcevoy
F: Martin, Kennedy

NoButYeah

Well I'm done for another year. My semi final loss consisted of:

Heppell, Mckenzie, Hartlett reported and being forced to play Saunders because of Ibbotson and Clisby not playing. VC Ablett so went C on K Jack who scored a whopping 80. Martin and JJK down forward didn't help.

But I did trade in Goldstein this week  ;D

Vinny

I am done for the year aswell mate. You win some you lose, you can't do this and go nuts when you lose :P

I bet you will be here come next year! Haha.

Come on coaches , chin up...

Just spare a thought for the coaches and players of the real AFL clubs.. Bulldogs, Saints, Demons just to name afew..

They don't drop there chin despite year after year of failures and almosts

Just like the real thing this fantasy game we all love has it's ups and downs, but you gotta front up next year with re-newed hope of a premiership..

Ask any coach/player and they will all say that failures along the way make the victory at the end even sweeter!!

I'll be back and so will you 8)

You always have control, you work the team all year to get a great team on the ground. Does having the best team mean that you win.....well no just ask the likes of Steven Bradbury , but what it does mean that 9/10 times if you play that great team of yours you will win but the other time you lose. You have control over the chances of winning you have by getting the best team together. I will be back and like many already have 15 players pencilled in for 2014.
