Last week my opponent accused me of cheating because I had the VC on Joel Selwood and took his score by sticking the C on Daniher. That gave us both Selwood as captain and it got me over the line in a close game. Fast forward to this week and this person has had a change of heart. They put the VC on Swan and C on Nicholls. I thought that was cheating  :o

Note: I do not think that is cheating  ;)

would have told him where to go

I just ignored it last week...couldn't help asking if it was still cheating when I just saw it then

If it were cheating virtual sports would lock the captain after the 1st bounce of the 1st game.... But they didn't..... So it's fair game!

HotTiges

It's amazing how some people still don't know or understand the vice loophole.. Not cheating just strategic!

Vinny

Yeah it is not cheating mate. The people that run fantasy sport aren't stupid, they know it exists. If they thought it was cheating they would not let it happen. But they do so its perfectly fair.

Some people dislike the rolling lockout system that lets you do it but that's down to personal preference. :)

Ringo

Yes it continues to amaze how many people in SC do not fully understand the loophole and how it works. SC allow a rolling out and is strategic rather than cheating.
Take this week for example most people would have had the VC on Pendles 110 or Swan 129 so will now make the decision whether to take that or put the C on another player.

A lot more players are unaware that you can work the same system with the emergencies as well so if you have an emergency who scores high you can loophole them as well if you have another non player on the same line.

Slashers

They still need to do away with both loopholes.
Because not everyone does it, or has the time to do it or even understands it - its not a fair level playing ground.
But while its available, its not cheating.

Ringo

Agree slashers is well not in favour myself either but as it is within the rules you need to take advantage when you are able. Because I go to all Lions home games as a member I do not have the opportunity to work this every week and on a couple of occasions has cost me League wins.

Playing both DT and SC the set and forget of DT I feel is much better, then you at least don't have to be within arms reach of a PC/Smartphone the whole weekend

Everyone seems to be on the same page on this one. Use it while it is available but we'd be better off without it. We have an emergency available in each position and VC in case our captain misses so we should be able to cover the inevitable late outs. In previous years I'd be checking teams and scores constantly over the weekend. Now with a 5 year old who wants to be out doing things and my own sporting commitments, I'm happy to set my team on friday and let the players do the rest.
