Do I need a POD for captain?

My team uniques in my semi this week are most likely going to be:

Stanton, Fyfe, N Roo

Against:

Jack, Jelwood, Buddy

I'm leaning towards Barlow for the C, what do you think?

I reckon go with Barlow or, if you have him, Rocky.

You can always just go Swan and count on buddy being his usual spud self :P

for once, i think i have to agree with Jukes

honestly I think it depends on how WC do on Jelwood (Fyfe WILL be tagged to around 95) and how many Buddy kicks
personally, i think you'll be beaten by around 20 POD-wise

so who can make that up on Swan?
honestly, got to be Barlow for me - it's the Dees and Freo should be going nuts for %age

Why not go Stants? If you consider yourself behind, then double of a player he doesn't have could be the real difference. Last time he played NM he had 153...

Cheers guys. It's looking like Barlow. Although his form over the last 5 isn't too promising for a captain, especially considering the GWS margin.

I could also bring in Mundy or Ellis over Hartlett making him a POD, but I think Hartlett is too good to pass up with 110 average against the Suns from 3 games and also his hot form. Plus I'd rather have Hartlett for season remainder if I can sneak a win.

Re Stanton, I know what you're saying but I don't think the difference in those players is that much that I need to take such a big risk. If Stanton had form it would be a different matter. If I Captain Barlow and he outscores Swan by 10+ that should give my team enough of an edge to win considering there are only 3 unique players per team. Plus if I think he could go bang shouldn't I just lock Swan to nullify the captain??? Because I think he is my weakest unique...

Fyfe will go big this week. Umpires won't let the dees manhandle him like they did GAJ. If you watched adel vs nm on Sunday, the umps had obviously been instructed to call more holding free kicks around the contest. Plus, if you're going to tag any freo player, it will be Stephen hill. Gws would've gone to him if he played.
