What are they not happy about? Do they not like the conditions or do they not like it from an SANFL point of view?

PowerBug

I'm happy for the crows, it was about time something like this happened. :)

Will Port get a team too? No. Why? They want too much. Claim to be "one club" with the Port Magpies yet want a separate reserves team in the SANFL so they don't lose the youth development Port Magpies. And the SANFL aren't letting Port be team number 11, they are saying take over the Maggies or forget it. So it won't happen, and Port bought it all upon themselves.

Doesn't the fact that Port are a club and that the Crows are a franchise though :P

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D >:( >:(

6-2 vote by the 8 SANFL clubs.

If it had gone to the members of AFC to vote it would have been a landslide.

Welcome back Triggy  8)

I can't see why? As a Crows fan I can't see why this would be a bad thing? It gets all our players playing together. Playing roles they will be playing if the get an opportunity in the AFL, they'll know the structures, games plans and roles for when they get their chance with the 1st team.

Is this the same Triggy that said he wouldn't enter the SANFL unless the vote was 8-0? Howewver since the vote was 6-2, which the SANFL says is a pass, he now turns back on his words and ust takes it? ::) Joke of a guy.

Port Adelaide has been given permission to sort their own team out same as the crows have been given ;)  With the Port Magpies!

I can't see it hurting much at all, takes out the interuptions to an SANFL team with structures and fitting in dumped AFL players, plus the two teams should be strong competition for the SANLF league players! I'm happy for both teams and the SANFL moving forward!

I dunno. Like, obviously the calibre of the SANFL is stronger than NEAFL, but like in the NEAFL, basically the brisbane lions and the sydney swans teams have just been dominating for years (obviously). It's why there's opposition to all the vic AFL clubs having stand alone vfl teams.

one sided comps aren't really fun...

PowerBug

I thought all VFL Clubs were AFL reserves clubs? :O If not then that sucks. :P

The crows (and port if it happens) will struggle in the SANFL imo.

This was on my facebook on triple M adelaide status a few of them on there are some of my fb friends and they are crows supporters
It seems people that love the SANFL and even the crows hate it, but people who dont really follow the sanfl dont care or think its great

Mailman the 2nd

Yeah the Swans reserves are forced to pick around 5 new players from outside NSW/ACT clubs each week and they still completely dominate.

Obviously the Crows in the SANFL wouldn't be as one sided but it would still not be a step forward for the comp
