Def : Goddard, Shaw, Gibbs, Hanley, McKenzie, Malceski, (Duffield, Thurlow)
Mids : Ablett, Pendles, Selwood, Kennedy (swans), Cotchin, Danger, Priddis, Mitchell (Zorko, K.Martin)
Ruc: Cox, Maric (Nicholls, Currie)
Fwd: Walker, Rocky, Roughy, StevieJ, Kennedy (WCE), Staker (Rowe, Sumner)

Rem Sal - $4200
Rem trades - 1

I'll push Nicholls into ruck as soon as he's back and Cox into fwds via Rowe DPP - leaving Staker on bench. If that can happen and barring other injuries....what can I do? Ended up 1st and 2nd in my leagues - but lost first final in both.

I was thinking Mitchell to Murphy (blues variety)???

Any other suggestions please???

Obviously wait until  selections because I suspect there will be a few cats thrown amongst the pigeons this week forcing you to sideways a premium.

If not, then Murphy might be worth the risk.

Mitchell has slowed down a lot so he is the one to move on.

Good luck.

Re post AFTER teams for further suggestions.

HotTiges

Yeah I'd be looking to move Mitchell on in your case but like Doc said wait for teams and also suss out your opponents team..good luck

With Judd out Murphy will get more attention and hence lower scores.

Maybe S.Thompson (however sub last week  :'()

or

Rioli  (injury prone)

tough 1 with only 1 trade and limited cash....

Very tough position with 1 trade and no cash. Agree that Mitchell is the one to move on, but million dollar question is who to?

Thanks everyone for thoughtful responses...why was s.thompson sub last week?

GCSkiwi

I would say given your situation your best option is probably not to get a mid in for Mitchell, but DPP one of your existing players into his spot and bring in a fwd or a def. With Duffield on your defender bench, I would go with a defender into mid; if you flick out Mitchell, move Goddard into Mids, bring in Broughton then it gives you a lot of DPP flexibility which will be handy with no trades - you'll have Staker-Broughton for D-F, Zorko-Rocky/Walker/SJ fro M/F, Goddard-Gibbs for D-M and Cox-Rowe/Roughy for R/F. Plus it would leave you (ideally) with Broughton, Zorko, Rowe and Staker on the bench, all playing and all worth 60-80 points. Not great but not bad. In the event of players being rested/injured/suspended there should be a lot of flexibility to shift people around the ground to cover places

Only reason I can see is his getting on in age, but no injuries. He scores well when playing a full game but has been subbed in a few so risky....

Maybe try work a mpp in the mid or back could work, as GCSkiwi mentioned...

Think Murphy gets no 1 attention week in week out anyway. Who else in Carlton is worth a tag?

 :)
Wait until the Haw v Coll game has started and then compare your team against both of your opponents.
Then you will have a better idea of what to do and where you stand.     ;)
