Now im hearing rumours that Roos said no to the Dees job as he would prefer the Lions job

Roos has been saying he deffinitely doesnt want the Dees job since Neeld was sacked. Dont know why everyone thinks he would go there. Who would?  :o
I suspect Brisbane have already organised a deal with someone. Possibly Roos? Why else would they kick their favourite son out like that? Pretty ordinary way to handle a club hero really. Deserved a send off

Agree Quinny very shabby but may be a case of have too as per these reasons:
Think the Board rightly or wrongly had to do something to ensure that if they were not to renew Voss's contract they had to act early to ensure they got the best coach given the likely current coaching situation.
Board met yesterday and made decision not to renew contract and conveyed that decision to Voss and then players. Voss had the respect of all players as can be seen by their attendance at today's press conference and tweets in support. Think this was done to avoid leaks after Board meeting.
Voss was offered the send off and coach for last three games but declined and he is to be admired for this.
Questions will be asked of the Board if they do not secure Roos or similar highly qualified coach as one of the reasons given was that Voss has taken the group as far as he can and we need a new coach to take to the next level.
Board is confident new coach will be announced by end of next week so in this regard Roos would have to be favourite.
Whilst most fans agree that Voss had to go and this would run probably 70/30 most are disgusted with the way the Board made the announcement and on the Clubs gala ball and fundraising night. Probably running 90/10 against board.

@3 Blues Aker was interviewed on ABC radio this morning and said he wants to serve his apprenticeship coaching in the bush before tackling the AFL and really highlighted the need to serve an apprenticeship something Voss did not.
