I know Watson is a about $100,000 cheaper, and in good form, but disregarding price, who would you choose?

both are in loosing sides...but probably tags. There's still a small risk that watson could totally deflate if essendon get punished badly by the AFL...an even smaller possibility that he may be banned (but i doubt it)

Ricochet

Montagna will probably average more over the last 3 games but not by much and Watson's price is too good to not take

Ok, to take it one step further, I will be trading one of these guys in for T.Mitchell this week (can't afford Beams).
Would you play either of Watson/Montagna on the field ahead of ROK this week?

Nope I would field ROK because he should destroy the Saints. But the week after Montagna plays GC...

Essendon are rooted, Watson hasnt signed shown signs of slowing but its bound to happen by the years out

For the 1st  time this year the last two weeks has shown some crack's in the Bombers mentally, has it caught up and how much more pressure will be applied once the charges are laid. Gotta think about it don't ya. 100k cheaper makes Watson a  tasty option no question. but Monty has been very good this year, tough call tbh. If you have concerns regarding the Bombers predicament and 100k to spare id jump on Monty.
