Luke Darcy - Keep/Trade/Retire

Above are players who are nearing the back-end of their careers at St.Kilda. Those are Luke Darcy's thoughts, not so sure if I agree with everyone of them; what about you?

Even before seeing this I circled Saints in for the wooden spoon 2014.

I would hate to see Hayes retire, easily one of my favourite players.

Blake? - He will retire if he cant find another club
NDS - Keep
Dempster? - Trade to GWS for pick
Fisher - Keep
Hayes - Retire
Jones - Keep
kosi - He will retire if he cant find another club, but he wont leave Victoria
Milne - Keep, gun small fwd, depends whether off field issues will allow him to take the field. Wont play for another club though
NROO - Keep/Retire, depending on his knee
Schneider - Keep

I'd probably trade NDS while he still has some currency. Fisher had a good season or two, but I'd keep Dempster before him. Jones can tag ok, but butchers the ball too much.

I think if you are rebuilding you need to keep older blokes who role model the sort of play you want going forward - for that reason I'd keep NRoo, Dempster and Lenny.  Schneider should be kept, but Saints should put a line through a few other under performing small forwards (Dennis Lane, Milera)

I sort of agree here. However your best bet is giving some of the middle aged responsibilities - St.Kilda have pretty much no quality youth IMO

Theres some quality coming through Steven and Armitage will be A graders. Then they have Newnes, Saunders, Ross, Lee, Webster and im probably missing many more. And over the next few years they will get the draft picks to help the rebuild.

I don't see much talent there... Steven will be great, not so sure about Armitage (who is already 25).
