Which defender?

I have 2 trades and 160k and need to upgrade T. Mitchell via Vlaustin in my backline.
Will definetly be using the 1 trade this week.

Backline is: Goddard, Hanley, Hartlett, McKenzie, Gibbs, Vlaustin

If I'm in danger of losing ill have to burn my other trade so money is important.

Defenders are so inconsistent, I would rather not choose.

But Hibberd is your safest option who never goes rarely goes under 80.

He occasionaly goes big but hasn't for a while excluding last week.

Think his the best option :)

I like Enright, C - averaging 94 and last 3 games scored 90 - 92 and 102.

His been more consistant as a backline player in my team this year.

I know Vinny and It's very tough to decide but can't be going around with Vlaustin or Clisby as a D6.
I really like Ellis game and it would allow me to go JJK/Bartel/Buddy for Rockliff if I need to.

Ellis did look really good last week and if it allows you to get Rocky. I think it's worth the risk.

Yes it does, in order to get Rockliff ill have around 420k and as you said defenders are so hard to pick this season.
All depends if Buddy plays and my opponent doesn't have him, or Bartel who has been disappointing of late.

Shaw can go big. Really big. 4 scores of > 124 this year, Hibberd only 1 x > 124.

This all has to do with bringing in Rockliff.
If I bring in Walker or Roughy I have more $$ for a defender

But yes, Shaw can go huge. Really depends what you need and who others have in your league.

Had a look at my opponents team and he has Shaw but doesnt have Buddy! He also has JJK and Bartel.
He has Judd which he will have to trade but my gut tells me he will go Watson or a Freo midfilder!

I like Hibberd aswell, he is a solid 85-90pt player but if i go with Hibberd i cant get Rockliff  :( would leave me with Walker or Mayne as an upgrade for either JJK or Bartel.

Was even thinking of upgrading Staker (who is my F7) to Roughead/Mayne/Walker and shifting Bartel as a M9 for Cover and then upgrading Mitchell to Hibberd.

I still can't believe the prejudice about Shaw. Yeah he flowered up a bit off-field, but on field he's been gold! Averaging more than most defenders, and is capable of some massive scores! Collingwood's tough run home should be of benefit to him as good disposal is worth a lot more in a tight last quarter, regardless of the final outcome. He's been locked for me since day one, and will most likely be there again in 2014. Get on!
