End of over 39 (10 runs) - PowerBugCC(137-10) RR 3.51
D. Lynch 10-1-33-4, J. Kuhlengisa 2 (9b)

38.4 6 Lynch to Zahra : That's a fullish length delivery there from Lynch, Zahra skips down the track and puts that shot away for 6 runs.

38.5 4 Lynch to Zahra : [dropped] Edged wide of Bulinya, who initially starts moving down leg and ends up missing the ball completely.

38.6 W Lynch to Zahra : Good length delivery pitched on the off stump and going straight on. Zahra looks to work through the on side, misses the line and it strikes him on the pad in line with the stumps.
A. Zahra lbw b. D. Lynch 10 (6b 1x4 1x6) SR:166.67

That drop catch, could that have be the 8shes gone? Either way it'll be some effort to defend this...

End of over 8 (2 runs) - The Nailers(20-2). 118 runs required from 42 overs. RR 2.50 RRR 2.81
S. Mukund 4-0-11-0, A. Gogler 3 (11b), O. Lalla 7 (19b)

Zahra and a runout have given me the wickets. Mukund dropped Lalla when he was on 1, hopefully it doesn't cost me too much. :\

It's game on though, for now, I have no choice but to keep taking regular wickets.

P. John 5-1-18-0, A. Gogler 28 (48b), O. Lalla 26 (54b)

Gahhhh, where is the choke! :( Just got to get through these five overs as quietly as possible, then these bowlers will not be bowling again, it's Zahra, Oldfield and Mukund after drinks until into the final 10, and the game will be be done by then. :\

Come on boys!

Too little runs scored in the end, considering that though, I think my guys bowled exceptionally well. Mukund dropped Lalla on 1, well, he went on to face 111 balls and finish unbeaten on 48. The most patient innings I've seen!

Next season Nails, I'll get you with my tactics, I think I'll get you on my pitches. ;)

There are all the stats leaders. Congrats to Albert Gogler for being the man of the series. Interesting to note last season's top two batsmen Paul Aronstam and Martin Young, scored 159 runs @ 19.6 and 90 runs @ 11.3 respectively. A huge drop off.

Taking all bets on the scoreline for the series, I really think I'll be having to overturn a 10-15k upset each match to get a win. Game on Nails.

#160
wow that 201/9 was so disappoionting considering the start I had. I suppose that's what you get for not playing a genuine all rounder. However had I been offered 201 at the start I'd have taken it. :)

End of over 12 (6 runs) - The Nailers(42-2). 160 runs required from 38 overs. RR 3.50 RRR 4.21
B. Austin 2-0-10-0, A. Bouchard 16 (31b), M. Young 11 (18b)

Good work so far though, I only have 2 spinners to Nails' 3 though, and they all bowled pretty well.

EDIT: Ol' mate Dorenagama appears to have been spotted in the crowd.

15.3 . Kuhlengisa to Young : A very quick delivery right in the block hole and all Young can do is dig it out for no run. An elderly man in team colours leaning on the pickets applauds the delivery. I think he used to open the bowling years ago, wearing the same baggy cap Kuhlengisa is now.

T. Mupariwa 10-3-27-0, R. Fellows 6 (10b), A. Bouchard 56 (95b)

His mediums go for 56 and 34, take one wicket between them. Mine goes for 27 and is bowled out after 30 overs. And to add to the brilliance, the first ball of Zahra's next over (his 5th) is the 5th wicket, just got to remove Bouchard now. :)

Don't have to just get Bouchard...

A spec/spec/accom bat/tech/power finisher still to come.

PowerBug

He's the big wicket. Zahra's next over was loose and I think i like Nails again from here, even though he's behind on the Worm chart.

End of over 35 (6 runs) - The Nailers(142-5). 60 runs required from 15 overs. RR 4.06 RRR 4.00

Nails to win the series 6-2.
PB will steal a game or two on his best pitches but the ratings advantage will prove more valuable than the variety.
