He's over it, hasn't been following the match until i told him it was close. Can't see there being a 2nd series, mainly because he's a sore loser.

Nails

Not being a sore loser, it's a dead rubber and you won by 9 runs.

Dead rubbers don't matter for shower.

PowerBug

winner by 9 runs. :D

So in two days I've chased down 358, and then defended 158. :) Pretty good i must say, or very poor by Nails.

=1 Albert Gogler, The Nailers, 5

It's been a bit of a blowover this series, however there are still some thing to be decided in this final match.
- The batting looks to be won by Paul Aronstam (the youngest player (22, equal with William Healy) and also the cheapest player acquired from all involved) as I can't see a big enough score being made on the Uneven deck for anyone to overtake him.
- The bowling is going right down to the wire! Four players tied on 12, and another on 11, best performer on the day will get it. Oldfield (rm), Shah (rf) and Bryce (lm) have played all 7 matches so far, Shukla Mukund (lf) has played the 6, not playing on the Slow deck, whilst Adrian Zahra (rf) has made it to 12 wickets off 4 matches, in which he went wicketless in one of them.
- And the Player of the Series Award. Quite interesting as this is decided on MOTM points, not fantasy points. Therefore should Gogler pick up one point, whilst Aronstam and Watson get none, yet PowerBugCC wins, the POTS goes to a player that lost 7-1. :O

Hopefully there is another one of these next season, as Nails' players will have had another season in which they'll catch up to me (I assume your SA is better than Superior, otherwise you won't catch up much) and there'll be a much closer contest. :) There really hasn't been much in it all series, i just got lucky in parts that let me get over the line all these times (Like chasing 358 and defending 158 two days in a row) :P

Nails "forgot" to set orders, which imo, is not a good enough excuse, as we arranged this match over a week ago, and there was absolutely no reason why he couldn't set orders then, and check them today, or as happened with him not being able to get on today, actually having some orders ready. So no excuse, and as expected, i completely wiped him to win the series 7-1.

Oldfield took 5, sealing up the bowling award, Renee Fellows was the best of the batters making 55. The Nailers finishing on 171/10

In reply, there was never really a contest, Aronstam and Craig scored 60 and 73 (both not out) as the 171 was chsed down after 38 overs, only two wickets down. 22yo Aronstam scoring 435 runs, 139 better than Craig who came 2nd with 296.

Thanks to everyone who decided to follow the matches, I'm sorry that it wasn't close, I'm also sorry that Nails will probably not want to do this again next season, as he is a sore loser.

Alrighty, let's do this thing! The 8ashes for season 22 is close to getting underway, and this should be a very interesting series, and I can see it being alot closer than the first one. The first match this season is on Saturday the 16th November at 5:30 FTP time. Put that in your diary folks, it will be a ripper! Cloudy/Slow will be the home of the first match, played at the Equilibruim (My home). In a very short turnaround the teams will travel across the sea to Bangladesh to play on a Windy/Crumbling at the Hardware Store on the 18th of November (Monday)

Good luck Nails, I hope you can get more than 1 win this time. :P

Reminder that a 4-4 tie will mean I remain champion >:D

D. Lynch 4-0-12-1, F. Butt 10 (10b), S. Watson 15 (29b)
End of over 18 (3 runs) - PowerBugCC(71-4) RR 3.94

PB in a spot of trouble.

D. O'Sullivan 8-0-25-1, W. Campbell 7 (18b), D. Oldfield 16 (22b)
End of over 45 (6 runs) - PowerBugCC(166-8) RR 3.69

TBH PB needs AT LEAST 180+ to put some pressure on Nails.

Nails

End of over 50 (6 runs) - PowerBugCC(198-8) RR 3.96
That is the 50 partnership (53 runs, 61b, 5x4, 0x6) SR:86.89

What a bullshower 9th wicket partnership

are you serious? ::)

PowerBug

As I fast forwarded through the game, I lost it when I saw that 9th wicket partnership. ;D At least I didn't win, otherwise that would've been mean. :P Was waiting for the collapse, but it never came.

Awesome, I wanted to start on a Slow, because I knew I was no chance anyway so Nails has some false confidence now >:D

You're no hope PB, look at them ratings! This will be the 0shes for you this season.

You did see that Paul Aronstam bowled two overs right? That brought the ratings down a bit. :P (Yes, it was my decision to give him 2 overs)

I think I can win 4 games Nails, long way to go yet, remember you were calling 8-0 only 25 overs into my innings of the first match last season. :P

I'm keeping a record of the stats again aswell. Will be interesting to see the improvers and faliures. Lalla scored 155 off 8 innings last time, already on 97 now!
