Nails

went to bed saying "match isn't until 4:30, I'll set orders tomorrow"

FML, totally forgot! Probably cost me too. People will say "it's just an excuse" but it's pretty obvious I did...

The series leading wicket taker who is a wrist spinner did not play on a windy/dry

and it probably cost me :'(

PowerBug

Yeah I noticed. You either were very cocky or forgot. :P 2-1, that'll cost you big time.

This is very very close. I'm currently in pursuit of 332 on a Sunny/Flat in Match 4. Nails was looking strong at 191/1 however the late innings collapse occured (As expected) and I restricted him to 331/8, Oldfield taking 5.

And after being 33/3 I've now recoverd to 249/5 with 10 overs to go, with my best two bats at the crease and my wicketkeeper to come in next.

This is going to be some finish folks!

End of over 40 (10 runs) - PowerBugCC(249-5). 83 runs required from 10 overs. RR 6.22 RRR 8.30

Oh the heartbreak. :'( The Nailers won by 3 runs. :( I needed 27 off 24 still only 5 down. Then Craig fell, then Watson fell, but Horton the finisher was still there. Then he fell last ball of the 49th and I needed 12 off 6 which ended up becoming 6 off 1, 9 wickets down. :(

3-1 Nails, now we move on to the Seaming decks. Remember Nails still needs two more victories to win. :)

I'm still mad, probs could've been 4-0 if I could remember to set orders :P

You're still in trouble though!

PowerBug

That was our closest match out of all 35 friendlies we've played! Shame the result went the wrong way. :(

Match 5 is underway now, and it looks like Nails has set some orders, which is nice. Last time on a Hot/Hard I bowled first, and conceded 358 runs, and went on to chase that down. I've gone in with the same bowling lineup, and tweaked the batting lineup a bit to something that's been working lately. :)

B. Austin 9-2-29-0, D. O'Sullivan 2 (5b), K. Bulinya 15 (19b)

don't think I'll be chasing 358 today. :P 17 overs of spin has gone for 59 runs, and picked up a wicket. Only problem with that is Nails has 3 spinners which are better than mine. :(

nek minnit, 18th pover of spin goes for 16 runs, completely ruining Austin's superb match. :(

Yet again, I've made another team crumble at the realisation that they are not scoring quickly enough. 169/4 in the 36th turned into 233/10 in the 46th. Only lower order resistance came from Bulinya, a finisher.

Zahra with 5/50 was the pick of the bowlers, however all he did was clean up the tail. :P

Should have played my AR :(

I'm still mad I didn't set orders in that one match... if I lose 8shes based off that... RAGE

I don't want to reveal too much about my game plan for the Overcast/Green, but I will say there's one major change made, and it involves the managers pet, Paul Aronstam.
