I actually really like plan number 3.

Give yourself the 2 best rucks, plus an insurance policy with Cox if one of them goes down. Then when Buddy is fit you can rest the forward who has the hardest match up.

Crouch/Mitchell to Griffen is a no brainer. Reckon I would be leaning towards trading out Mitchell, just with Crouch's last 4 opponents in mind.

I like option 3 too for the same reasons that jfitty has mentioned.

Prefer keeping Mitchell over Crouch though. Apart from last week Mitchell has been awesome.
