Who is the better choice - Dixon or Scotland?

Has Scotland's role permanently changed?

Dixon. Been one of the highest averaging defenders this year (highest averaging if you take out injured games I believe), whereas Scotland had only cracked triple figures once before the last 2 weeks. Don't really know for sure if his role has permanently changed, and it's probably too much of a risk when Dixon should average over 100 anyway from here on in.

Dixon is ~$40-$50K more right? At this stage, most with limited trades, that's pretty significant - as is Scotland's DPP if you're hiding someone like Colquhoun etc in the mids. If you're holding Nicholls, Dixon is kind of a handcuff for him - getting a bit each way there.

Scotland does run the risk of reverting to this year's mediocre form, and has games v WBD, RICH, ESS, @ Port.

Dixon plays MELB, @ Port, @ Saints, GWS - yum.

At this tage I'm going Staker-Dixon as he has some great runs on the board

Tiebreaker for me: over the past 2x weeks Scotland has busted out majorly with 33 and 31 touches - for 'only' 111 & 1119 points. That's his ceiling it seems. Dixon could go 120-140 w Nicholls hurt, a few more touches/goals and a decent draw.

I would go Dixon unless you desperately need the extra cash. Has a higher ceiling than Scotland and an inviting draw.
