Who would you rather?

R. Murphy
B. Ellis

essendon2

Ellis has averaged 96.1 if you remove his sub/injury affected games, and has quite an easy run home with 75% of his remaining games being played at the MCG.

Murphy has been in great form lately, and so have the Western Bulldogs. He loves Etihad with an average of 95 in his past 5 at the respective location. Also 75% of his remaining games being played at Etihad!

Both similar prices, however, am finding it very difficult to split the pair ::)

Murphy plays Melbourne in the final round so maybe that helps you make the decision  ;)

its me lads

You can't just take out Ellis' injury games. It shows you that he can get injuries and you'll just have to cop it. I really like the look of Murphy and might grab him soon.

he got concussed. I am not convinced that makes him anymore an injury risk than the next guy.

I'd be going with the seasoned veteran for your finals run!  ;)

What about when he missed round 9,10 and the bye with a hammy strain? Does that make him an injury risk or should we forget about that one aswell?

He's the one currently in my team... but Ellis leads the poll 10-8 :o

Adamant

I like Bob Murphy. Proven scorer and pretty consistent.

Very underrated.

Kind of think that the original point was his average is distorted by getting the vest early plus an injury. The games he missed don't effect his average.
Suggesting that a 2 year player in injury prone because of a hamstring strain is nonsense IMO. If after a few years he shows signs of being prone to niggles and soft tissue injuries then you have a very valid reason for overlooking him....But not at the moment.

Toga

I've kept Ellis since I jumped on earlier in the season and loving him so far.

Regarding his injuries I don't think he's "injury prone", his average is mostly affected by those green vests early in the year

Looks like I made the wrong decision :-[ (already)

me

picked up ellis last week, so have gotten 102 and 119 from him so far, which is quite nice

wouldn't count on it every week though... he loves a good uncontested game, a lot of bartel q4 about him
