Beamer or Griff??

Griff gets tagged almost every week and usually provides the goods. He's even better when hes untagged. Probably one of the only players in the AFL (along with Ablett, Jobe and Pendles) that are almost untaggable.

I would disagree.
Beams is behind Pendles and Swan in terms of behind tagged.
Griff has such a big ceiling but can still get sub 100 scores with a tag. He has 6 scores under 100 this year.

If cash isn't an issue, beams is the way to go. He is a solid 100-120 every week and doesn't really have those off games where he gets 80-90. He won't get tagged and the pies looked to have found some form.

Griff is good and has a good ceiling, but if he gets an 80 in a crucial final then it would hurt.

Even though there is every chance they will avg the same for the rest of the year, there is more risk to Griffen so that extra 70k is really for peace of mind in my opinion

Yep, true. I just think Griff is a better option at almost 70k cheaper, especially with an easier run and Melbourne in his last game where he had 136 on them earlier this year. Beams is an out and out gun though and you seriously couldn't go wrong with either...

I already have Beams and plan to bring Griff in after the Carlton game.

If Boyd comes back this week then I will consider him right away with someone else in there to win the ball for him.

but regardless of any of that Beams is best. maybe i am biased but he is a superstar.

This is a very good question and one many will grapple with over the coming weeks but I really think it depends on where you spend that 70k. If its just going to sit in your bank then don't be a stinge and get Beams.

If it is the difference between say Chris Yarran and Heath Scotland then I would say get Griff and make the upgrade elsewhere ;)
