Time to offload Birchall?

Have been holding birchall hoping he'd be back in time for finals, but is still listed as 2 weeks on the afl website.

Is it time to trade him to someone else? I've only got 2 trades and $2,700 left, backline as follows:
Goddard, Hanley, Shaw, Mckenzie, Gibbs, Mackie (Birchall, Clisby)

I finished top in my league so have the double chance, but is it worth having someone like him on my bench when I could bring Dixon in instead and move Mackie to the bench with Clisby?

Thanks!

No way, not with 2 trades left and finishing first, you've got at least 2 weeks to give him a chance.
1) don't trust the AFL site that had Watson, Hanley and Danger all out the weekend just been (until teams were named).
2) even if they're right, if you win this week you have that 2 weeks to play with all of a sudden. If you lose, reassess later, Birchalls price isn't going to change
3) He might get named this week, you never know.

Yeah true. Had a look at my opponent this week and his defence isn't too great, so can probably get away keeping Birch on the pine. Only concern would be Dixon set to jump about $20k after this week and not being able to afford him (and also not being keen on any replacements that might be available).

He was interviewd on Saturday and was still at least 2-3 weeks away.. Don't know why you still have him?

Had other issues to address and given he was a change of coming back (as opposed to Goodes) figured I'd hold him  ;)
