I'm looking to make some up grades but not sure which way to go. I would like to up grade Nichols to minson, roughy or goldy, and I need a gun defender like Hanley, hibberd or maybe Scotland. Any suggestions?

need to know your team and how much money available

I have Goldy and he worries me that he is tiring late in the year. His 130 aside he has been consistently 70s (although that rubbish in the back when he marked caused an 8pt swing so Fri could/should have easily been low 80s)

I feel the Goldy v Kreuz match up i so often have is usually going to be a loss so if you dont have him thats who I would aim for although of those Id say Minson, Dogs have a nice run home

Im bringing Hanley in this week (after trading him out 2 weeks ago :/ instead of Terlich as I planned before he was listed as out so long, both missed same number of games but one lost a heap of $$ while the other rose!). They also have a good run home and the other 2 you suggested I wouldnt touch.

Consider Johnson for a POD but certainly not without risk.

My backlline is ;  Goddard, Heppell, D Pearce, Gibbs, O'brien, Staker (Clisby, Hartigan)
I'm trading out buddy and moving Staker to F8, I have $244300 in the bank.
I think goldy is starting to tire, I'm surprised he hasn't yet (or been injured) plus roos dont have the best run home, kreuzer is a bit expensive and I don't think he'll do much better than the others, I'm leaning towards minson but I'm not 100% sure. Scotland prob not the best option but recent form and that price is very tempting, Hanley and hibberd are more consistent. Johnson is an interesting suggestion freo have a great run home

The problem with Johnson is he seems to lose a lot of scoring with McPharlin out, otherwise i'd be all over him. Still has potential to go big and his quiet games havent been too bad for a defender

Risk it on Sandlinands! Looks like he's building his form. Quite affordable and his scores have been constantly improving: 35, 44, 62, 80. The 80 he got was with 2 kicks and 10 handballs - imagine what he can do when he starts clunking more contested marks and being used more for link ups! It's a very risky move, but if you're looking for a POD, he could be a stroke of genius.

Personally, I'm waiting to see how he goes against GWS this week. If he tears it up, he's in for Nicholls for me.

How long is mcpharlin out for?, and what about ibbotson?
