Must win week, no obvious trade, help!

Hi All,

Sitting just outside the 8 in 4 out of 5 leagues, need a win to have a chance. 4 trades left, $140K in the bank

Goddard, Eski, Hanley, Heppell, Gibbs, Ibbotson, (Clisby Thurlow)
GAJ, ROK, Pendles, Swan, Selwood, JPK, Griffen, Lids (Zorko, Viney)
Cox, Goldy (Nicholls, McBean)
Walker, SJ, JJK, Martin, Rocky, Ryder (B Kennedy, Rowe)

Need to trade to get any advantage, was thinking Nicholls to Naismith for $$ and then either Clisby to Dixon, or Viney to Barlow, Jack, Beams...

Neither of these options are of appeal, but I cannot think of anything better. Can someone shed some common sense on this for me please?!? Thanks ;)

Is the top 8 in your leagues the top 8 overall? Reckon you'd be top 4 in every league I'm in.

Might need to upgrade Lids to a super premo, just isn't doing enough atm. If not, then both options you suggested are good as well. May as well trade hard as you're fighting for a top 8 spot. Think you would gain more points with a mid upgrade though, as most defenders have been shocking this year.

Yeah I would look to get Barlow in, who is almost a guaranteed 100.

Agree, mid upgrade will give you more points.

How about Zorko > K Jack, Ryder > Rioli? Or if Jack gives you too many Swans, grab Bartel?

Thanks guys, I think I may go an upgrade in the mids, Zorko or Lids up to Barlow, or maybe Beams, just for an expensive POD.

It has been a tough year in the leagues, 3 leagues are top 100, but the other one that I'm outside the 8 in is not as strong, it's ranked about 3K. In that I'm first on points, 9th overall and probably not making the 8. I need luck and in some cases percentage too in the other leagues, fingers crossed. Cheers

Ranked #1 in Pts but 9th on ladder, that's tough mate!!

It happens. Guy in my league last year was 1st on points never made the 8 :o

Wow, you must have had some bad luck because that team is very solid. I'd have to agree with trading Lids to Beams. Or maybe Jack or Barlow. Barlow has been very consistent but rarely been going huge. I'd say Beams
