Well that's what they are saying on the AFL website...

Sydney Swans defender Tony Armstrong and Jesse White could be traded to Collingwood as part of a three-team trade involving West Coast. The Magpies are reportedly close to offloading picks 10 and 27 to the Eagles in exchange for picks six and 40. The latter draft pick, 40, would then be sent to the Harbour City for Armstrong and White.

Armstrong isn't a bad player by any means. Heath Shaw is gone, Maxwell is 31 next year and O'Brien's career (in the near future at least) looks sketchy at best.

He could play a decent depth role, similar to Marley Williams

Armstrong and Williams are more or less the same player, just Williams is 3 years younger and the Swans have a better defence

i still dont like it. both white and armstrong can play. while they msy be depth players, still think they are worth more than pick 40. We were talking a lare 2nd round for just white last week?

You might as well throw in Armstrong if it will get us White for 2nd round pick.

For pick 40, that would terrible. I doubt Collingwood would even bother to offer that
