So sick of jacobs shower, held him all season but has the time come to upgrade??

3 trades and $271,100 in the kitty.

thinking of going jacobs > goldie
thurlow to DPP rookie (def/fwd with staker for cover in finals)
and last trade of crouch to Griffen or Beams

cox covering for nicholls for the meantime. then cox up front with zorko F7 or M7/8 with DPP of bKen, and staker covering fwd and back.

Goddard Heppell Hartlett Gibbs Grimes Clisby (Birchall Thurlow)

Ablett Pendlebury Swan Selwood JPKennedy Dangerfield Fyfe Mitchell (Crouch B.Kennedy)

Cox Jacobs (Nicholls McBean)

Walker Martin Rockliff Zorko Franklin Johnson (Staker Rowe)

I know i am meant to hold trades but I feel these three trades will give me maximum coverage through DPP, and the biggest points boost. really would appreciate any thoughts?

I'd be cautious of Goldy, may get rested. Minson probably safer bet.

And yes, time has come to f*#k off sauce

just focused on other trades and letting the weeks pass, hoping the big sauce could redeem himself. got so cheap that it was pointless selling him,now with finals a 50 compared to a 100 is costly.

yeah he was saying the other week thats hes feeling overplayed but have cox to swing back for cover as long as nicholls in playing. But your right minson might be a safer bet

Yeah I'm tossing up the same option of Goldy or Minson too, Minson has a better draw and extremely unlikely to be rested as the dogs have no real replcement for him. However I have a pretty decent forward line (Cox, Rocky, SJ, Bartel, Walker, Buddy, JJK) so could get in Goldy, use Rowe (R4) to swap back Cox if Goldy is rested. But it's a bit of a waste if he doesn't play, plus Minson has a friendlier draw (Not that Goldy would be too bothered by his opponents, more the chance of being rested).

Minson juuuuust edging ahead for me but close to a coin flip really.

You will feel better offloading Big Sauce. Huge disappoint.

HotTiges

Mentioned this in another Sauce related thread.. I got Goldy in when it was Sauce's bye.. Haven't looked back. Quite possibly the worst starting pick this season.. Massive disappointment.held him far too long as I believed he could turn it around.. Useless around the ground and can't win the taps to Danger or other Crow midfielders..

thanks for the response guys! the jacobs is finally gone and big willy minson is in. couldnt be happier to offload big sauce.

NEXT QUESTION. i have two trades left. need a DPP in def for linkage to staker for coverage and want beams > mitchell, or griffen > crouch. (more likely the griffen)

Do i trade X.richards etc in this week, allowing me to drop staker back and bench clisby?
or save the trade for a week and play clisby and bench either staker or zorko up fwd??

I know trades are gold but i need a win in a few league to lock in top 4. and a win in the main league may swing me to first if the stars align. although, might provide safety for a week if, god forbid, my team is hit with more injury.

thoughts? cheers FF, your a good crew

I'd probably hold mate, 2 trades for finals better than 1...

Ringo

I would also hold to see what shakes down and trades in finals is valuable.

cheers blues and ringo, ur right i am better off holding on to it for at least a week. Who knows whats around the corner, there's already been half a toolbox in the works this season. no doubt SC has a few more nasty surprises for us. Hope i can get beams or griffo in soon.
