The position...

5 trades left. $225k

The rucks and fwds...

Rucks: Nic Nat, Maric (Nicholls, Rowe)

Fwds: Martin, Cox, Roughy, Rocky, JJK, SJ (Staker, Neade)

The question....

Should I

1. Trade Nic Nat straight to a set and forget (Minson/Goldy)
2. Downgrade Nic Nat to a Gorringe, bank $160k, hope that Nicholls plays next week and have Gorringe as a backup
3. Swap Nic Nat with Cox/Roughy and bring in a prem fwd (Walker/Harvey)
4. Wait a week and trade Nic Nat to Pavlich (+50k)
5. Some other move I haven't considered!

The solution...

??.... Go!

Set and Forget with Goldstein mate. You sill have a FWD/RUCK link with Rowe and Staker is decent cover in the fwd line. No real need to bring Roughy into the rucks.

Goldstein absolutely. With North playing the Cats on Friday night, and with no experienced rucks, Goldstein could even be a VC loophole option if he pulls out another 158..

Nat to Goldstein or Minson would be my preference. Trsut other lines are complete with just the 4 trades left.

Technically yes, when Hanley is back. Im still worried about Priddis/Mitchell at M7/8, if I do Nic Nat --> Goldy ill have $140k left over to upgrade and strengthen my mids and go into finals with 3 trades

You'll still have enough to upgrade Mitchell to a Griffen Jack etc. the week after as well. Lock in Goldy! Or perhaps Walker would be the other one I'd consider

Just wondering is it possible to trade both Nic Nat and Maric to goldy and minson?

What about moving both cox and roughy to the rucks and grabbing both either Harvey walker bartel?

I am in almost the identical position, with the only exception being Buddy instead of Roughy.

I was thinking Cox to rucks and trade Niknat to Bartel. Mainly because he has had a rest now, and the Cats run home at skilled. Also concerned Goldy ,it get a rest the last to weeks for Daw/Currie if the Roos are out of the running.

Any thoughts of this???

I'm planning on trading Maric > Goldy, but am also wondering if North will rest him and give some game time to Currie seeing they are out of finals contention.

Would Minson or Kruezer be better options? Doggies also out of finals but don't think there are any other rucks they will be trying to give game time to? Kruezer will be charging as Blues want to make finals, and probably wants to send a message to Leigh Matthews and other vocal critics.

Yes but then I'd be down to 3 and have no cash left over to upgrade priddis/mitchell to a prem. Apart from last week Maric is still managing 80-90 a week which I think is just good enough for an R2 if it means I can save a trade

Too true. I just can't warm to Kruezer he's on my never again list ;D

Interesting thoughts on Goldy, perhaps minno is the best bet. hmmm
