Nice work Craigy! Will be interesting to see where Schaz goes, he's been tipped to go quite highly by a number of people I believe, maybe even top 3. :o

If other mock drafts/discussions I've seen are any indication he is the most contentious player in the draft. Some believe he is ahead of Aish and Boyd while others don't even rate him as a first rounder. We'll have to wait and see.

I'm really interested to see where Dayle Garlett goes. Was a top 10 draft pick last year

Speaking of contentious...

I personally don't think he'll go first round but I'd be surprised if he was overlooked again. I have him at 42 atm and if a club is able to pick him up with their third selection I think they'd be very happy indeed.
He got invited to the state screening combine so he still has a fair bit of interest

Mr.Craig

And as if on cue the Herald Sun does a story about him...

its me lads

Hmm Interesting. What sort of a player do you think the Crows will target?

tbagrocks

Great work and top 20 I sort of agree

I get the feeling Scharenberg and McDonald will go higher, Aish maybe not top two? :o  Kelly that high? I can see why but, certain others seem better?

All very interesting!

KoopKicka

This year could also be the return of Travis Tuck and Mitch Thorp. Gonna be very interesting where they go also.

Nige

If the order was to your mock draft order and the ladder was to stay as is, I'd very happy for Trent Dumont to go to the Tigers.  8)

Scharenberg could go higher, surprised Lennon is at 5, I think I saw Lloyd Perris in your mock draft and I don't think was invited to the combine.

Oh and also, McDonald should go Norf as a F/S pick, right?

Big Mac

I'd probably have Sheed a couple higher

I guess you have to keep in mind that if it wasn't for freaks like Martin and Hogan then Kelly would have been taken in the mini draft last year. All Australian and hasn't done anything this year to suggest he's dropped down the pecking order.

I think Thorp would be the more likely of the two. If it happens it'll be in the pre season or rookie draft.

Don't worry about Perris, he's very much in the frame to be picked higher than I have him currently listed. All Australian and averaged 23.2 disposals in the U18 Champs. Not sure why he wasn't invited to the Combine but I'm sure there's a good reason.

Yeah, McDonald will be heading to North with their first selection unless something dramatic happens.

I actually placed him higher than a lot of other people did in their mock drafts. I think 5-10 is about his range.

You would say a forward of some description. Darcy Hourigan would be the name that comes to mind.

Ringo

Qlder Archie Smith could be another star like his name sake Zac Smith.

Had not picked up an AFL ball this time last year purely concentrating on basketball and was asked by Lions acadamey to consider training for AFL.  He thought it would increase his fitness for Basketball and a shot at the NBA and gave it a go. Took to AFL and was named as ruck for the Qld side for the National championships and got asked to the Combine.

Smith is 201cm an ideal height for Ruckman and could be a sound pick up for some clubs in 3rd or 4th Round

Looks good Craig!

Presumably this is done without taking into account teams and their order in the draft?

For the most part.

Once the pesky trade period is out of the way we can concentrate on the real action. ;D
