A couple of upgrades

So I seem to be in a pretty good spot to make a couple of upgrades, but I'm not sure who to.

Team looks like this:
DEF - Goddard, Heppell, Malceski, Gibbs, Enright, Henderson (Hanley, Clisby)
MID - Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Barlow, ROK, Griffen, Cotchin, T. Mitchell (Crouch, Hrovat)
RUC - Kreuzer, Nicholls (Jacobs, Gawn)
FWD - Johnson, Martin, Cloke, JJK, Rockliff, Bartel (Staker, Daniher)

With just shy of $300k in the bank, I can happily go Crouch + Jacobs to anyone I want, but I'm kind of stuck as to who.

Rucks, I was thinking Roughead, but he seems to be in a bit of a slump. Am I better off with Cox now Nicnat is out?? Or is a Minson/Goldstein a better option?

As far as mids go, I guess it's between Beams, Jelwood, Montagna or Jack. I'm leaning towards Jelwood at the moment.

My other options are a bit left field, like Staker to Buddy or Hrovat to Wellingham (as I'm still happy to play Mitchell this week while Crouch still has a little more money to make).

Any thoughts? Who would you pick? I'm a lock for the finals in my main league, but this week is definitely a bragging rights game ;)

Definitely wouldn't do Staker to Buddy or Hrovat to Wellingham. Wait on Hrovat until a rookie comes with good JS (might be harder at this stage of the season)

You would do well with any of Cox, Minson or Goldstein. Although I guess I'd go Cox out of those three.

Those mids should all be top 8-10 for the rest of the season. Again, can't really go wrong. Money doesn't really seem a problem for you, so I wouldn't go for the value option in Jack. Probable averages for rest of season: Beams 110-120 Jelwood 109-118 Montags 105-110 Jack 100-110

Hope that helps

Awesome ideas there. Cheers!

I reckon I might jump on Jelwood this week, then look at sidewaysing someone like Cotchin to Beams the week after (once I've gone Nicholls to Grundy for some cash).

Still not sure if I trust Cox, but he's pretty cheap at the moment, and all 3 of those rucks have tendencies to score in the 70s.

Cox showed us why he is the highest averaging ruck this week.. and NickNat is out indefinitely.

Jacobs to Cox seems like the most obvious trade.

Other than that, you have a very strong team and can have a 100% pure luxury trade.

The two best options I can see are either +Beams (but who do you drop? Crouch?) or +Nick Roo (injured, but will apparently play).

Nick Roo is the second highest averaging forward.. Could go Staker to NickRoo (presuming you won't have the cash for Daniher to Nick Roo)?

Beams looks like a fantastic option... but, you, like I, have the problem of being happy to play TMItchell. I "solved" my problem by pushing Bartel to M9... but it does almost seem like a waste to have someone so good sitting at M9.

Thanks RookieDTer.

Yeah I'd drop Crouch. I'd love to bring in Riewoldt, but it's hard to know how to squeeze him in. I think if he pulls up ok from the injury, maybe side swapping JJK to him for the finals. But the week I do that, JJK will smash 100+ :P

Thanks for the input!
