Would you start of with a donut and wait a week for news on Nic Nat if you will remain in the same position in your league?

This upcoming round I am contemplating the idea of starting of with a donut.
Have 5 trades left and thinking of doing Goodes > Dixon and Nicholls > Rioli trade.
Want to put Zorko on the pine as he will most likely cost me a finals win.
With uncertainty revolving around Nic Nat am thinking of holding off for this week as my league position wont change win or lose.
This week I finish of all lines with exceptional cover, Staker/Clisby in defence and Zorko/Lamb in forwards.
If Nic Nat doesn't get up for first final I will simply sideways trade him to Maric. But for this week am thinking of playing 1 short.
If I go with this plan I will have 2 trades remaining after week 1 in finals.

I would save that trade until you need it.

Different story if you had to win to make finals.

Only reason to trade is if the guy you really want is set to rise so much that you wouldn't be able to afford him were you to wait a week.

:o really?

I'm a Maric owner. I'd look elsewhere.

Well Rioli has a low b/e this week and am thinking he will be a great PoD come finals (in 4.6% of teams currently)
With Dixon he could literally explode with Nicholls going down. Not confident in Staker holding down D6, as you would have seen today with a score of 60.
If I complete the trades my def looks like this Goddard, Shaw, Heppell, Gibbs, Houli, Dixon (Staker, Clisby) and my fwd line looks like this S Johnson, Franklin, Bartel, Rioli, Cloke, Rockliff (Zorko, Lamb)
Team is set for a big finals onslaught.

You're in a similar situation to me...
I am trading Goodes > Dixon and leaving NicNat decision until finals. Keep those trades...they're golden. I'll have 3 trades left if I keep Nicnat but he'll have to prove to me that he's fit as a fiddle. I don't think they'll play him if he isn't in tip top shape. Fingers crossed for the both of us.

BTW Rioli trade is a good one... I was at the game on Friday night and his aggression and hunger for the footy was reminiscent of 2008. His tackle count will be up and with that SC scores. Hope the risk pays off for you.

I'd go best available, used him as an example. Tigers do have a good finals run BTW.
