Anyone know when these guys will play again?

I sense trouble brewing.

_wato

Danger is more than certain to be back this week, Hanley still another 2 I'd say, Nicholls won't play this week but should be okay for next week, but who knows with Nic Nat? He could be back next week or not until next year.. Wouldn't trust anything you hear with him.

Mat0369

Nic Nat I initially read a 2 week rest and Worsfold said today that Nic Nat, LeCras and Shuey are all likely to miss this week

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-07-28/no-rest-for-injured-woosha

Hanley was reported as a 2-4 week injury but we have seen some quick recoveries from fractures and breaks in the hand this season, so this week would not be a surprise if he wears a protective glove

Danger I remember reading as a 2 week layoff as well, meaning he should return, can't vouch for that

I have heard nothing on Nicholls so far

EDIT: Nicholls in severe doubt http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-07-27/nicholls-injury-leaves-suns-in-ruck-trouble

Vinny

Nicholls is said to be unlikely to line up this week so you'd hope it's just one week but apparently his had issues with the knee but its nothing major.

NicNat is unlikely to play this week and Worsfold has also said that players will not be sent in for surgery at this stage but I wouldn't rule it out in the next couple weeks with Eagles out of finals contention.

Hanley and Danger I don't have too much info on mate. But from what Ive heard Danger is one week away and Hanley's injury is not as bad as first thought but not sure about weeks on that one.

Hope that helped a little Doc. :)

Anyone think Dixon could be a good pick up now with Gold Coast's ruck issues?

Mat0369

Dixon has had his own ankle problems this year. He ran out of gas in the second half and Gorringe is likely to come in and take the majority of the ruck work while Nicholls is out to allow Dixon to play forward and provide a target.

I watched him this weekend and he's looking hungry. Has a great run through finals. I'm looking at him as a replacement for Goodes who is warming the pine. There are worse options out there...

+1
Not expecting him to set the house on fire, just some consistency.

6th highest average of the defenders - and that includes his injury games - and I've got the top 3 - and I wouldn't touch Thompson or Murphy ahead of him - and he's cheaper than them anyway.

Just sticking my neck out. Is he worth the risk?

Mat0369

Certainly worth the risk, but I would want a trade in case it goes pear shaped

He lines up against West Coast, Melbourne, Port, St Kilda, and GWS. Playing forward or ruck he will score points. Yes.

Also adding to this thread.. some news on Terlich too?? covering Hanley who will miss again, really don't want another donut..

Yes good thinking but he will be 'managed' over the final rounds to ensure he is fresh next year. If you got trades to cover then a brilliant POD
