A deal with lez:

Magic Gives: Waters+Darling+NAT 21

FOR

Badgers Give: Vince+Brodie Smith+55

We need to inject someone young to support Ellis in our defense and Martin fits the bill. Vince injects some experience but solid scores into the midfield. I love Darling, but to make this deal happen he had to go.

Whatlez to confirm.

Confirmed and yeah Smith.

Needed a forward, but lost a good bloke in Smith :( Waters was gained, but a little older and injury prone and Vince who I thought would dominate at Melb on a 4 year contract, but Darling was great.

Torp what are the averages and ages of those players involved? Looking at it as just names you just got completely flowered to the point that it shouldn't go through. If the averages show different then I'll be a bit less angry.

Darling actually averages a poor 78 and Waters a better 92, but old and injured.

Vince averages a nice 105, but at Melb should hit up to 120 I think. And Smith is 21 and a nice 87 and came into the season injured.

Colliwobblers

any trade that in any way helps the badgers should be blocked - on pure principal !

but seriously pretty even looking trade.

darling could get a LOT better fast but smith and vince could lift also especially smith.

PowerBug

Yeah fair enough. Not a fan of Smiths JS but I suppose Waters is the same. Darling's 78 is decent for a forward, only the best get over 90, and as you said Vince can improve at a new club.

ok, fair enough.

It was edited PB, it seems ok now. To look at averages:

Vince - 103 average - 28
Smith - 88 average - 21
Lower pick

V

Waters - 92 average - 28
Darling - 77 average - 21
Higher pick

Seems pretty fair to me. Lez probs wins slightly but we got what we needed, a young very good backman.

Funny that Torp was more keen than me. But Smith is considered one of Adelaide's best kick. I think his JS is better than any defender they have.

Why not? Senior player at the club. Won't get tagged.

I think it's a very fair trade, perhaps even to Torps advantage, I can see Smith going 100ppg no problem in the future however in this scoring system there is only 3 kpf that average over 100, but Darling will slot in nicely at F3 or F4 depending on how our extremely unstable our forward line rock up in 2014. Seriously though, Matera, Fasolo, Higgins and Jesse White, Darling could be our F3 but could just as easily be F7,  :P

We needed a young backman and even though we had to give Darling & Waters we got that.

kilbluff1985

will get more attention though and will get tagged if he starts playing really well who else needs to be tagged at Melbourne?

has less support there also no Sloane, Dangerfield etc he could increase his average but not up to 120 imo

Yeah Fasolo, Matera and Higgins went down and Jesse stood up. But who knows, he might go back to normal and the rest of the team might fall over again :o :P lol.
