As an outsider that has no opinion on other peoples trades, this is entertaining to follow. :P

Seriously dude, how is this not a fair trade...?

Your are giving away two best 15 players in pretty much any team for 1 player who would struggle to make a starting lineup in a top 8 team and a draft pick that wont get you much with most of the talent being in the top 20.

Dal Santo is 30 and retirement is a pretty big possibility, Broughton should not be a BEST XV player, in this competition he is a spud mate, people think he is better than he actually is. Sam Mayes is super young and is going to be a gun for sure, I am looking for youth to build for future success. 26 can get us something solid..plus we are looking at on-trading 26 anyway.

i was one of 4? or 6? clubs on same points for at end of season... no big gap this season.

too many old and to many young may make for a gap, but the key is to have playrs coming through at various levels.

i have like

cox ablett ball priddis at the old level

then the likes of

cunnington, melksham hibberd on the way to the top

then the youth like

thurlow and oh WAIT - FF STOLE ALL THE OTHERS I HAD....

its about balance...

If anyone wants the older experienced players and are willing to give up young guns. I think it is fair, either way both good players just at different times.

He's not!! But Dal Santo averaged 117. Will decline for sure as he's uncontested. Mayes had a super first year and will only improve. Broughton and pick are just there cause I like Broughton :P and Vinny doesn't haha.

I think the trade is a win for both teams, vinny boosts his youth even further with Mayes who will be a star and a decent pick which is useless to us as we're in premiership contention with an older team, and we get to strengthen our midfield which will help cover Swallow and a solid d4/d5

i think it is fair enough....

the way i rule on trades in asians is they do not have to be even or fair - trading involves different clubs different needs.

the deciding factor is - does the trade give one club or the other a significant - even massive advantage (win) over all otehr teams in the competition by going through.

if it does not then it is ok as long as it is not extremely uneven.

as i said someone has to win almost every trade, and usually even in an uneven trade ( which i am not saying this is) both teams usually feel they won based on what it is they need/want.

but here it is all up to Ringo :)

i think my trade for ablett was uneven and so does FF in favour of HIM, but Ringo saw it the other way around, all you can do is make your case and send it to the boss :)

Yeah that's true! I don't think this trade effects the competition as a whole massively and it fulfils the needs of both teams :)
