Haha yeah it's over now. The plan is if he loses DPP we play him as a utility :)

that works :)  as long as your happy - nothing like trade regret :)

me = rage trade Jelwood for ducking his head and lifting his arm in too many tackles last season....

but at least i have my integrity - if many points less per game....

Vinny

Haha yeah I would have been kicking myself :P

Hahaha really?!

With Nigel's trade declined I think,

Owls give: Dal Santo and Broughton

Badgers give: Sam Mayes and pick 26

Reason: we want older players and Broughton is injured a lot and Willing to give Owls another young gun and a reasonable draft pick

If my Broadbent + 2nd round pick for Dal Santo + 3rd pick got rejected last year then surely that trade must also? ::)

Dal Santo has lost value. Broughton actually averages way less than I expected just checking lol and Sam Mayes will give him midfield of Mitchell, Wines, O'Meara, Mayes and Jack Steven*. I think Mayes about equal to Dal Santo but long term and Broughton is injury prone and could play 15 games again next year or less...

Lobsters give: Aaron Black + Pick 11 (both being on-traded since we have no list movements :P)
Owls give: Sharrod Wellingham + Pick 9

Reason: We're on trading Aaron Black who we received from Manchester and Pick 11 from the Hawks for Welly, a DPP player for at least another year (or so seems to be the consensus) and Pick 9, a top 10 pick which we were considering chasing anyway. Both parties are quite happy with this trade as Vinny was quite keen on Black.
seriously?? this is massively uneven

Imo it's a fair trade
pretty much agree with JB tbh
Ummm how?

Wellingham is a 25yr old fwd/mid who averaged 111 unsubbed/uninjured, which puts him in the top 10 forwards. Also coming off severely interrupted preseason and fitting in at a new club. He also averaged close to this last year

Black 23yr old key fwd who averaged 79 in his first "breakout" year. In a comp where NRoo is the only key fwd in the top 11 averaging forwards (at No.11 as well).

So we have a fwd/mid about to hit his prime football age in the next two years who is a 110+ for a 23yr old fwd who has had his first decent season for a 79ave in a fantasy comp that doesn't reward key fwds as much as midfielders.

Oh and a pick upgrade ::)

you average what you average and he didnt average 111.

and what is he worth when mid only in a years time ?

anyway good they cancelled if one had cold feet. wasn't PERFECTLY even, but what trade is, it was fair enough was my point.

someone has to win a trade...
By the same logic Daisy is worth his 75DT ave this year? And its not what he's worth in two years time, its what he is worth now, in this trade.
I don't want to start an argument over it but I am surprised you don't see it as grossly one sided as I see it

Hahaha really?!

yes he had to go, can't have duckers in my team.

got jack redden for him

ontraded redden for fyfe which also got me an ugrade to gunston -

worked out ok i would say

but jselwood still a long way ahead of fyfe, getting gunston took the sting out :)

still think jack redden in form will be awesome in this contested comp.

Yeah Lez pretty much summed it up.

Dal Santo is nearly 30 now but is still averaging solidly however Mayes is the long term option and the fact that Lez is looking for experience and I am looking for youth makes them almost equal. Broughton is alot worse in this competition than people think he is, haha. Not terrible but not one people believe, 26 does nicely for him.

Both sides got what they wanted. :)

Hahaha wow!

Yeah Fyfe will be Top 3 midfielders in the AFL in a few, still super young and Gunston is nice.

Doesn't sound terrible but I love Selwood and would give him away for nothing. :P

@ Ricochet - i don't rate wellingham never have.

he may prove me wrong

massively one sided is ablett for crowley

this is not that massive

I thought Broughton averaged 90+ lol and he's like 28 next year. So join the oldies of Badger vill.

There is Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Buenos Aires streets above the next batch of challengers. So Bradford/Winchester here. Then there is the mega youth teams who couldnt win anything and just trade any older then 25 player away for whatever draft pick they can get.

Yeah. You know Gregory is getting on and isn't that good. I just want some GC boys :P And Sam Mayes is a gun, I declined some decent offers for him.

Seriously dude, how is this not a fair trade...?

Your are giving away two best 15 players in pretty much any team for 1 player who would struggle to make a starting lineup in a top 8 team and a draft pick that wont get you much with most of the talent being in the top 20.
