Overeacting .. acting like a five year old. Thanks ..2 of the people on here i actually had respect for. There is nothing wrong with the trade, and i will not be wasting my time again negotiating/appealing a trade that both parties were already happy with.

Ringo will not approve this trade

Ablett, Mackay, pick 31, pick 49

Gray, Lonergan, Macrae, Ross

Because it heavily favours the werewolves ... you have got to be joking yeah

I will no longer be coaching the Hoods .. been a pleasure fellas

LOL no need to overreact, it heavily favours you i know but doesn't look like that until you take a deeper look.

I have sent a PM and there may be a way to get it through i dont want mackay anyway - never did.

have a look at my PM and we will see what we can work out, i believe there is a committee too not just ringo.

happy for it not to pass, but if we can work something out let us try as i know this one is important to you, was just beneficial to me in the short term, really in the long term for me it is suicide. But i will honur the deal if we can get it done, but i won't move much on my offer. who would.

Haha dont be naive Colli, that trade favours you everyday of the week.

So lets break the trade down:  even tho the point is now pointless.

part 1:

Ablett avg 160 mid (29 years old next season)

FOR

Gray avg 95 fwd (4 sub effected games) without them average is closer to 112 (25 years old next season)

part 2:

nat pick 31

FOR

Jackson Macrae (nat pick #6)

This season Macrae averaged 81+ with multiple sub effected games.

4    Adelaide   AAMI Stadium   88
5    Geelong   Etihad Stadium   28   starting sub
6    West Coast   Patersons Stadium   83
8    Gold Coast   Metricon Stadium   126    81
9    St Kilda   Etihad Stadium   89    82
10    Port Adelaide   TIO Stadium   97
12    Collingwood   Etihad Stadium   93
13    Richmond   Etihad Stadium   114
14    Melbourne   MCG   93
15    GWS Giants   Manuka Oval   82
17    Hawthorn   Aurora Stadium   101
18    West Coast   Etihad Stadium   10 starting sub
19    Sydney   Etihad Stadium   55

Macrae - bare with me pick #6 for a reason.
2nd best kick rating of any player at u18 champs
ranked #1 at average disposals
3rd in score assists
2nd in score launches
ranked elite for contested and uncontested possessions
averaged 117 SC points in the TAC cup
leading disposal winner for oakleigh
averaged 28 disposals in TAC CUP
and 2 goals.
winner of the tac cup medal

all that - playing as a fwd

part 3:

nat pick #49

FOR

Jesse Lonergan (pick #15)  injured this season.

part 4:

David Mackay - fringe player i didnt even want averaged 80 (less than macrae)

FOR

Sebastian Ross (pisk #25)

Ross- a year in further along than the other two. cousin of jobe watson.

this season averaged 68 with multiple games as sub and multiple tons

4    Essendon   Etihad Stadium   23
5    Sydney   Westpac Stadium    51
6    Collingwood   Etihad Stadium   68
7    Carlton   Etihad Stadium   112
8    Adelaide   AAMI Stadium   67
9   Western Bulldogs   Etihad Stadium   105
10    North Melbourne   Etihad Stadium   53
11    West Coast   Etihad Stadium   48
13    Melbourne   MCG   69
14    Richmond   MCG   40
21    Sydney   SCG   60
22    Gold Coast   Etihad Stadium   67
23    Fremantle   Etihad Stadium   115

last season first  - mainly VFL - averaged 4 tackles and 4 clearances a game. 10 clearances one game.
ranked in the top 5 in hardbal gets, clearances, tackles, contested possessions, handballs and handball receives.

SERIOUSLY YOU THINK I AM BEING NAIVE AND THIS HEAVILY FAVOURS ME, FRANKLY GLAD IT DIDN'T PASS.....

I'm not disputing the trade or getting upset about it, but when commenting on trades might be worth getting all the relevant information :)

how long does anyone thing ablett wil go a full season without significant injury, plenty of niggles the last two seasons.
how much mid time going forward on average.

who knows he would have been nice to have but there is a limit on EVERYBODYS worth.

I hope FF sticks with us and gets a better deal, he will be bloody laughing if he does :)

Once again i will not be coaching the Hoods anymore.

no offence intended FF, just trying to clam you down, I know how you're feeling :)

Ablett is really 320 being a perma captain

Everyone needs to chill here, don't be making rash decisions.

you can't say that without taking off priddis/fyfe/ball 130 doubled.

so ablett is 320

priddis is 260

difference is only 60 points total in captain score.

having ablett as my captain if he continued to average 160 points would be a gain of 60 points per game.

playing tomlinson over gray would cost me 30-40 points per game.

then i have a couple of late picks and no more young mid guns....

it's all perspective but anyway, Ringo and the committee have a job to do and they have done it and we move on, just offering some facts on the trade so people interested enough to comment can see the detail of the trade, not just the names...

ONLY 60 points? That's huge

Anyway I don't care

not when you take off 30-40 for the fwd downgrade i have to play with for giving up gray.

then there are the youngsters for the late picks and mackay who i would delist.

i thought it was more than fair but ablett carries the stigma of requiring well, i don't know what.

but FF has him and if anyone has more than i had to give to him, make an offer :)

kilbluff1985

I could of had him if I wanted but was going against my youth policy

Football Factory

No worries Colli .. just not happy with the situation, everything you wrote is spot on i totally agree. If he said I was gaining too much i would have been happy to tone it down. I should be able to trade Ablett to anyone for a fair deal, something is not right. You don't even have a perma captain most people do, and they're denying you a chance because you happened to win the granny this year.

So the problem is how much he scores ... so who would i be allowed to trade him to ? who would you be happy with getting Ablett ? ..the worst team in the comp ?  what do i get for him .. relton Roberts and Kosi

kilbluff1985

Mate I don't have a problem with the trade I think Colli wins a bit but not much maybe if you gave up later picks I'd like it more

I was just correcting him on his maths  :-X

Just think quitting as coach over a trade isn't cool

Vinny

Yeah I agree with KB.

Trade is a little unfair.

But no need to quit man, take it easy. ;)
