2013/14 TRADE PERIOD

so we are free to delist any player we want  UP to the number of draft picks we will have available to replace the delisted players.

example, if i have 4 nat draft picks.

trade one OUT for a player.

trade 2 in for 2 players.

i now have 5 nat draft picks.

i have trade one extra player in and 2 out, so my list is ONE man down.

i need to delist another 4 to be FIVE down and take all 5 nat draft picks.


* and can you confirm how many list movements i have used if both my trades go through.

Me - pick out for player in.

Me - 4 players out for 2 players in and 2 picks in.

Reason:  Hoods are in need of a quality young forward and Sam Day fits the bill.

Confirm. :) Didn't want to lose Sam Day, as he'll be a very good player, however a round one selectino was very nice to acquire. :)

I agree, it's worth a shot, but the talent you could get with 5 is greater than you could get with 16/18.

For example, Ollie Wines went at 7 in the AFL Draft last year (should never have happened, should have gone before that). Taylor Garner went at 15 and Josh Simpson went at 17.

You can't say you wouldn't prefer Ollie Wines to Garner and Simpson?

Basically, if it was me, I'd keep pick 5. I'd probably want a player as well though, not just pick 5 in that deal.

Depends on a teams needs though if they desperately need a top 5 pick now or would be better off long term with pick 16 and 18

The draft is very midfield heavy there are about 5 blokes I really hope I can get with those 2 picks

I would accept Wines for Grundy and Ben Kennedy though... not the greatest example nigey!
