I don't think we're arguing  just seeking more clarification

Justin Bieber

Nottingham Hoods give ...  Gary Ablett, David Mackay, Draft pick 31, Draft pick 49

Winchester Werewolves give  ... Robbie Gray, Jesse Lonergan, Jackson Macrae, Seb Ross

Reason: Ablett still has years left in him so the Hoods have decided to trade him to strengthen the team with some good youth. I lose my best player and captain but gain a future and still have Pendles as a quality captain option.

Just gonna put that out there so you can get a better offer than the one from us?  :(

Confirmed.

Reason: Werewolves lack depth in the midfield, playing the grand final with a midfield and utility line of:

Priddis , Melksham , cunnington , s gibson , moore , guthrie.

Ablett is the genuine premium we do not have, at the end of his time soone enough but as he spends less and less mid time there is the hope we gain him as a fwd. Still a couple of premium seasons left in him i think.

Mackay is depth and not of great value to us but would have served us better at utility in the grand final than moore or guthrie will.

We pay dearly while it might look like a win for the werewolves we give up 3 young stars. AND GREY who is a genuine premium.

Macrae - pick #6
Lonergan - pick #13
Ross - pick #25

we gain back some later picks to halp balance it out in round 2 and round 3 so the loss of 3 potential star youths can be offset if we are lucky in the draft and pick well.

Well, it's already noted in our original trade breakdown that he's on the table. Your offer isn't bad, but might as well give others a chance to offer something as well.  :)

Just to clarify Picks do not count as movements

eg Team A trades Player A for Pick x from Team B
Team A has one player movements whereas Team B has none.

Rookie players traded will count as a player movement

i thought the trade would count for both teams, because it is a player leaving one team (list change for that team) , and the player joining the other team (so also a list change for that team)

therefore both lists have changed so a list movement for both lists?

@ whatlez
Well that's new rule.

But rookie count? Explain how?

Just to explain both questions and i think basically it is a matter of intepretation and I have ruled for this year. Rule may be clarified.

5.8 A player movement is defined as when a player on your list from the previous season (initial draft for initial season) is traded to another team. Draft picks or players you have received as part of a trade can be on traded without being considered a player movement.

Rookies are on your list from this year so if trading a rookie is a list movement.

As a pick is not a player on your list my intepretation is that it does not count as a list movement rightly or wrongly.

End result though must be that you must have a team of 41 players and 4 rookies for start of next season.

So bsaically for the national Draft you will only get enough picks to bring your Playing list to 41 - so if you have only delisted 1 player you can only get your first round pick.

Similarly for the Rookie Draft. You must have a vacancy to take part in rookie draft.  If you wish to promote a rookie to your Senior list you must use one of your National Draft picks.

Keep questions comin and I will answer - Will be off line again for a few hours till I get back to Brisbane.
