Hi all!

A thread for each club to nominate a player for a 'coaches' award. This player should be someone that is not necessarily your best player, but is a favourite of yours for some reason (shown improvement, embodies team spirit, etc.).

Also - any requests for the 2014 fixture can be made here (including a new rival for rivalry round - Geographical rivals still play for there cups).

Awards night:

- Jim Stynes Medal (3-2-1 basis)
- MVP (based on a formula from Purple 77)
- All-Worlds (voted by the coaches)
- Worlds Rising Star (voted by the coaches)
- Reserves All-Worlds (based on stats)

This was a tough one, a few standout candicates here.

5.Robbie Gray has averaged 90+ without the green vests, is my best forward and is part of the reason why I have been doing so well lately

4.Aaron Black i needed a forward desperately when Clark went down Blakc stepped up huge to avergae a respectable 78 so far.

3. Alex Rance had 2 horror games early which meant he was only averaing 69 in the first month. Since than he has averaged 95 and is one of the premier defenders in the comp

2.Todd Goldstein Was my number 1 traget in the off season for a reason 93 to 111 average he has become a captain option and I woudl argue top 10 in value in the league.

I think we all know who is going to win though. Its my Boy

1.Jaeger O'meara I desperately needed some mids to step up into the utility spot, I knew this kid was a gun but he exceeded even my high expectations. 92 average in his first season is amazing, hasnt missed a game all year. The scary thing is he isnt just an accumulator like greene, dalziel he is showing that he is a top tier player. I imagine he will be pushing 100 next year and in a few years will become a super premo.

Watch out Gary this guy might break your scoring records.

Luke Hodge

One of the favorite Suns at Mexico, always delivers and when his injured provides great leadership off the field.

I think our choice came down to two players. I sent ML a PM just to confirm this, but I think it's pretty clear who we've nominated.

Richard Douglas

He gets the nod because he's come from nowhere to find a whole new level and became a viable captain choice in the absence of Dayne Beams for most of the season. His consistency and average are also quite admirable.

Ringo

One of the reasons for the Royals surge this year is the form of this youngster.  Whilst he has down games at times he has been very inspirational since his arrival at the Royals.

Daniel Hanneberry

Jukes

Ryan Griffen

Easy choice. Our captain has upped his average from 105 to over 123, including an injury-affected 51, boasting huge scores such as 176, 169, 148, 143, 140, 138 and 136.

This guy is lucky both of his Coaches are Bombers supporters

After a few coaches expressing interest in becoming our rivals for 2014 (I wonder why, you sneaky buggers ;)), Q and I would like to announce a rivalry has begun betwee:

BEIJING THUNDER and the PACIFIC ISLANDERS

We think this will be a pretty good rivalry over the next few years as we see both clubs' young lists and becoming more competitive - will be interesting to see whose development is quicker!

While I'm here, I might as well put it out there that the Cairo Sands and the New York Revolution have begun a rivalry.

AFEV/Sid has been quoted as saying...

True...Cairo is pretty bad too. :P

I'm a bit upset after that comment, so yeah, it's on!  >:(

Still you should still name who it is rather than just post a picture. Makes it easy to know who you are talking about ::)

Like I could post this picture and say this is my nomination...

Anyway my nomination for the coaches award is Will Minson. Was the number 2 ruck last year at the club behind Sam Jacobs, but big Will has stepped up massively this year to become the most dominant ruck in the competition. This has been especially important considering Sauce has had a particularly poor year compared to last.

For the record, this was pretty much my point. I don't think I communicated it overly well. My bad.  :P
