Nice team !

Have you considered Ricky Henderson ?

Flavour of the month in ripping form and has DPP and can be swung forward and back with Staker.

Then after Brissy's soft draw - Zorko > Walker / Roughy.

Or Crouch > Griffen after he drops in price.

Just explain the chances of Henderson / Staker DPP helping you. I seem to have missed the point.

If they both play, switching one forward and one back doesn't save a donut it just means one can be played on field and one on the bench. You gain the difference between the 2 scores - if you pick them the right way.

If this is your reasoning to get DPP, grab Oxley and save save save $.

If you are keen to get DPP Henderson / Staker action all set up, the only situation I can see being really worthwhile is if one of them is out - not many weeks left for this to occur. In this most unlikely of situation, the other can swing and cover. Is this the reason people are jumping on the Henderson Express?

Is it his negative breakeven? Well, this is only helpful if you trade him out again - thereby losing the DPP unless you get Oxley or equivalent back in which doesn't make a lot of sense since you'll have made money to get an up grade not a down grade.

Also, most teams won't have the luxury of capitalising on his price rise which will take 2 - 3 weeks anyway, by which time even fewer trades will be left.

Please help me understand the logic behind this irrational push for some bloke I haven't even seen play a decent game - mind you, I don't watch Adelaide play very often at all.

Cheers boys and girls.

I think its just because he's the highest averaging defender over the past 3 rounds (117).
The DPP link is just a minor bonus, like you said, in case one goes down, or if the gamble doesn't work out, Staker can swing where required.

My other choice was Hanley... scrub that now.
Broughton's had a few good games in a row now - he was once almost a premium right. But now on most 'never again' lists.
Others in ripping form; Rance, Scott D Thompson, Enright, Eski (stung me last year when he was DROPPED!), or Carlton's Henderson (I like this one, also D/F).

Thank you Slashers.

Is his form flash in the pan or can he sustain it?

Seems a statistical aberration looking at his form over past couple of years. Scored over 100 once in 2010, once in 2011 and once in 2012.

Not cheap either.

Do not think Hendersons form is a flash in the pan as he has taken over the Brent Reilly role following his injury in Round 14 and has scored 101, 85, 106 and 160 since, Admittedly the 160 has made people notice but I had been keeping an eye on him before that. The DPP is a bonus but having Staker and Henderson as D7/F7 with both capable of scoring 100+ gives bench depth.

With most of the premiums a bit unreliable this year, what about a cheaper option in Duffield?

Under 400k is technically a downgrade. Was hitting good form before his calf injury, and had a quiet one comin back from it this week. Just as likely to pull out a 100 or a 70, but no more so than a hibberd/heppell type, and freo have a good run home.

With goodes my d7(m9 link with Colqhoun), I'm thinking Duffield would be a good option to come in for Hanley while he is out, then sit as cover for the pending general/ further injuries.

Duff has frustrated a lot of us I reckon.
If you like frustration, maybe Grimes?
or Broughton...Hartlett...Ellis

Actually add Gibbs and even Goddard and every other defender including Shaw.

Can we play SC with no backline? Please.

put the 6 D spots in the MIDS so we can have 14 mids. Because mids are always consistent

Well that's my thinking. If anyone we bring in is going to be frustrating, I'd rather not spend heaps on them, and put the cash to use elsewhere.

I agree my backman last week were Goddard, Gibbs , Malceski , Ibbotson , Duffield , who could not even score 70 I had Goodes who managed 84 from 3/4 so I will be taking a chance on Henderson even if they are playing Fremantle and that he could cop the Crowley tag.
