Fellow Supercoachers,

With all the turmoil surrounding wrists, hands, MRP and general spudding up by premos, I'm sure you all have your own dramas to deal with. However, I wanted to see what you would do in my situation:

Rank: 3rd (1 game off top). Playing bottom 2 teams next 2 weeks so guaranteed top 4
Trades: 6
Cash: $28k

Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, Hartlett, Ellis, Clisby (GOODES, HANLEY)
Mid: GAJ, Swan, Pendles, JPK, Cotchin, Mundy, Priddis, T Mitchell (Crouch, Kmart)
Ruc: Cox, Maric (Nicholls, Rowe)
Fwd: Stevie J, Walker, Rocky, Dusty, Bartel, Buddy (Staker, Lee)

I was thinking:
- Goodes (season over) > R Henderson (on fire)
- Priddis (doesn't get the big scores he deserves) > M Murphy (SOOOOOO cheap and should average same as Priddis)

Leaves 4 trades and $228k for future upgrades, such as grabbing Griffen or Beams in final mid spot.

I'll hold Hanley for a few weeks and use as loophole before deciding what to do with him.

Thoughts?
- good trades, 4 is plenty to have come finals
- Hold! You never know what me injuries could happen!

Vinny

First of all mate - Well done !

To have a solid team like yours with good cover in each lines and that many trades left is awesome.

I would do the exact trade you said Goodes > Henderson. ( DPP with Staker will be gold during finals. )

Sit tight on Hanley - I don't believe his injury is as bad as we think and wouldn't be suprised if he came back in two.

As for Priddis - I wouldn't pull the trigger on him until finals. His a guaranteed 90+

You will finish strong mate - Good luck :)

Fool's gold me thinks. Please explain. I seem to be missing something here.

Vinny

Hahaha I read your other post.

I honestly did not think about that at all :P Henderson's DPP is useless.

Wow. :P

I guess the only reason to bring in Henderson is if you believe he can keep up the form as he is a tad cheaper than most.

Good call Doc

My apologies.

tor01doc

Grimes? Form, draw and cheap as chips if his injury game is taken out (which is a reasonable way to look at averages).

Vinny

Yep ! Get Grimes.

Very good value.

Vinny

Still can't believe I was marketing Henderson for DPP.

Stupid call. Sorry if I confused anyone :P

tor01doc

Hold your horses vinny.

I might be missing something.

If he is going to keep scoring 160's then he is cheap...but?

Watch for a genius to explain why he is a must have. Failing that, think about Oxley or equivalent for DPP, Grimes for value or some big gun, rocket launcher or cannon?  ;)

Vinny

HAHA true !

Yeah Oxley like player is the way to go for DPP. Preferably Xavier Richards from Swans as he is more likely to play and has Sunday games which is handy for loophole.

I've already locked in The Cannon for next year ;D

Hey mate, R Hendo is a DPP isn't he, listed as a def/fwd?? Am I stupid and missing something?   :o

Vinny

Yeah he is DPP but as Doc said his DPP is useless if you are using it for Staker as most are.

In the unlikely case that one of them is out plus a player on your field that when the DPP comes into play.

If that makes sense.

Blues Blues Blues

Yeah makes sense, but I guess the way I am thinking is more protection in the event someone is out, then that flexibility is there. For example Hendo will be my D6, with Staker F7. If Hendo out I can either choose to take Clisby onto field, or swing Staker back.

I'm more looking at it in terms of flexibility for coverage.

Having said that I'm still not sold on whether this form is 'purple patch' or he can maintain...

 :)
Not really sure which way to go ? Sit it out a week. Grimes, Henderson or whoever will still be available. The only thing that may be of any concern is price fluctuations. If you're not affected by them, sit. I've got Goodes B, Hanley, Dangerfield, Bartel and possibly Naitanui and Buddy on the bench. Waiting for a price drop to turn Goodes in to Beams, Kinda reckon at this particular stage of this very, very Flowering season that patience is a virtue. Best of luck triple B. ;)

Hey mate. What a good position to be in with playing the bottom 2 teams for the last 2 weeks of the season.

Goodes is gone for the year so I reckon trade him out for McKenzie this week. Hold on to Hanley, he will be back soon.

Then next week you could trade Rowe to the cheapest RUC which is Moller from Freo and then upgrade T Mitchell to Griffen.

This will leave you with a completed team with good coverage on all lines and 3 trades left for SC finals.

Cheers guys, thanks for the input.
