Definitely interested in those two. Reckon Boyd is a likely starter for me (although it is only October), but will have to see where Crossy ends up. :)

Hopefully the change in scenery will help Cross regain some form, boyd will pretty much be a lock for me and he will even be unique! He is always underestimated each year, hopefully next year he proves the critics wrong again :D

The old dogs in Cross and Boyd will be two decent picks next year, given cross moves to Melbourne and Boyd has a good pre-season

Haha Adam, you always are keen on some Boyd aren't you! ;)

Haha yep, he's been a lock in my midfield for the past four years. Yeah he's old, and starting to pick up a few injuries now, but the guy can still score.

Gonna find it pretty hard not including him when he'll be priced at a 104 average.

Cross was killing it all year in the VFL, would have easily been in the dogs best 22 all year but they wanted to play youth, the likes of hrvovat, mccrae and hunter instead, so he was the unlucky one to miss out. Will consider next year.

Not convinced on Boyd, a 104 average is a quite high price for a guy that struggled with injury for the majority of the year and is not getting any younger. Obviously has potential to score fantastically, but may be eased out of the midfield a bit next year as the dogs continue to rebuild. Won't start him but will be an upgrade target for sure if he can stay fit.

pommyadam

unsure how much of an impact Boyd will have - on Libba and Griffen's scores (as well as those two coming to prominence last year)

may be a good option, but will probably give it a few rounds before upgrading (probably my first upgrade)

O'Keefe is playing some if his best football and is a couple of years older than boyd. Boyd is a superstar and the fact that he averaged 104 while playing injured shows his quality. My issue is if he can earn a place in my team in front of the likes of Beams, Cotchin, Watson and Murphy.

That's similar to what I said in that reply you quoted, I see better options to start with but could be a good upgrade target.

Keep an eye on Matt White. May be moving to Port from Richmond with a 2013 average of 58.5 from 16 games, 7 of those in green vest and 1 in red (HT subbed out).

Of his full games includes scores of 102, 94 and 86. Green vest scores include a 71 (on in second quarter) and a 63 when sub on in 3rd quarter!!

Will be priced around $300k.

One to watch in pre season

He might be one to watch, should be priced similarly to how Gus Monfries and Brent Moloney were.

With Colin Sylvia moving to Freo (probably) I'm very keen on him. Averaged 80 this year so won't be cheap, but is an exquisitely talentled footballer who has not been able to realise his potential. I think Lyon and the less attention he will receive in a better team may help him realise his talents more consistently. I'd presume he'd play up forward and have stints in the midfield but we'll have to wait and see, definitely want him in my team though.

Shane Savage is one for the radar. Currently seeking a trade to get more playing opportunities. 2013 average 67.3 which includes 4 green vests and 1 red vest from 15 games.

Non vest scores include 97, 105, 102, 94 and a 115

Any chance of fwd status?

Would be very handy, kicked 11 goals and played forward a lot so you'd expect at least Mid/Fwd for 2014.

Wouldn't have thought so, although it'd be great if he did. Played mainly on a wing and in the midfield with occaisional stints as a high half forward. If picked up by another club could be worth a look for sure.
