Am ranked 20,000 so thought I'd start a discussion for those who already have one eye towards next year.

DEF:
This is a place where I think we might have to take a few risks with many DEF/MID's such as Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell and Hartlett likely to become MID only.
Beau Waters has been ruled out for the season so he's likely to get a discount but would still be a very big risk with his injury history.
Nathan Bock is a chance to come into the Suns lineup late this year but might still receive a discount on his already cheap 2013 price.
Matt Suckling has missed the whole season with an ACL and if fit would be a pretty good option depending on price. His return may help an underpriced Grant Birchall as well.
Jack Grimes is injury plagued but will be undervalued thanks to a very low score earlier in the year when he got injured.
I may be biased as a Pies fan but I really think Paul Seedsman can go another level and average 90+ next year. Although a MID this year, I fully expect him to become a defender next year.
I started this year with Pearce Hanley and fully expect him to become more consistent and be in top 3 Defenders next year.

MID:
Three young guns in Marc Murphy, Trent Cotchin and Dayne Beams have all struggled with form, injuries etc this year. All should be underpriced and we know what they can do at their best. Dons skipper Jobe Watson will also be underpriced thanks to his injury a few weeks ago.
Dayne's brother Claye Beams has missed most of the season after doing his ACL and could be a decent pick.

RUCK
Ivan Maric and Sam Jacobs were premos last year but they are well down this year. Could be good picks if they show glimpses that they can return to 2012 form.
Will be interesting to see if the highly rated Nathan Vardy can return to the Cats lineup this year, if not then he could become even cheaper than his price was at the start of this year

FWD
Many popular DPP's will find themselves MID only next year so depending on who gains DPP, the FWD line could be another area to take risks.
Tex Walker and Mitch Clark are two big FWDs who could be options next year after a season ruined by injury.
Alex Fasolo and dare I say it Shaun Higgins both suffered Navicular injuries this season and will certainly be underpriced.
Wherever Dale Thomas plays next season then I think he'll be a pretty good pick.

Thats just some players off the top of my head?? I didn't talk at all about players who may gain DPP. But who do you think will and which players are you interested in next year??

ruck - HMac and potentially Sandi are locks as starting ruckmen for me

HMac hasn't played (and won't) this season, but is a former gun
and Sandi hasn't exactly set the world alight since his return, but should score well as the sole ruckman at Freo

Lozza

Sandi should be fairly cheap next year
Hopefully Rocky keeps his dpp (since Voss keeps playing him up forward ::))
Pav should also be fairly cheap

nrich102

Goddard mid only? Really?

Rocky should keep DPP, and if Bock doesn't play this year, he'll be like Staker this year

its me lads

Would not go near Waters at all.

Suckers will be a good cheap option.

Similar boat the the Seed but I think Brodie Smith could have a breakout year for the crows.

Mitch Clark is too injury prone to look at but Big Tex is on my radar.

I havent thought about next year at all, enjoying this years challenge but Goddard will still be the number 1 DEF/MID.

Heppell probably lose it as well as HH but Gibbs I don't think so.

In regards to DPP, could see Sam Mitchell & Prestia gain DPP to defence with their play off half back should be a guaranteed 90-100+ average if he gets it. Wingard forward another 90 odd average if he keeps up his form seems to play exclusively forward.

Also Jack Martin and Jesse Hogan!

Hodge also may get back DPP

Adamant

Sam Mitchell is a certainty for DPP, he'll be an absolute lock.

Boyd will also be pretty underpriced.

Probably won't go near any breakout players at premo price, so many have dropped off the year after...

Mr.Craig

I tell you who I'm really keen on...Chad Wingard.

He's kicked more goals than any non forward listed player this year so I'd certainly be looking at him as one who could gain DPP. His current average would place him as the 11th highest ranked forward (excluding Dell'Olio who has only played one game).

its me lads

I reckon Luke Hodge could get DEF/MID dpp again.

Not fantasy relevant but Rhys Palmer should get fwd/mid dpp.

Swan any chance of getting mid/fwd dpp? Has spent large chunks of time forward, unfortunately doubt he will become fwd though. Wellingham if he keeps fwd eligibilty could be worth a crack, as could buddy wherever he plays, we've seen cloke's average jump by 20pts now that his contract problems are over, same could happen for the big bud.

I think they get dpp status depending on what percentage of their possessions come in whatever areas of the ground, and since Swan doesn't touch it when he's up forward he won't get it.  ;D

Yeah, same here learnt that lesson the hard way this year. May include a cheaky mid pricer or two though, reckon having one as m5 in moloney was a good strategy this year.

caluuum

What's the chance of Hanley getting DPP with either def/fwd or def/mid? He has spent quite a bit of time down forward.
I reckon he'll be one of my first picked anyway but would easily be a lock if he gets it
