You would have to seriously consider Daisy for next year, averaged 76 from just 5 games this year, should be priced at an average of <70 and should retain DPP....averaged 95, 103 and 93 over the past three years

Daisy will definitely be in my forward line to start
Daisy is likely to have surgery on his ankle and miss up to 9 months  :-\

Really? 9 months? :o
Yep. From what I've heard he will either have a LARS like surgery and miss 3 months or go the conventional way and miss 9.

Poor guy. Reckon he'll still be at collingwood by then?
Well he doesn't really have any leverage anymore... So I can't see him going anywhere tbh

Daisy is a gun, injured or not he'll be in my team :P ;)

He is a quality player, and I reckon he would still have interest from other clubs, would shine in other midfileds. I'll stick with him for now and wait and see the news, if he goes "LARS" ankle surery, he would at least some sort of pre season.

Yeh all really depends on whether he takes the shortcut or not. If he goes the longer way then he won't play next year and have little to bargain with basically

Mayes a fwd? No chance!
Why you say that?

Yeah he's been playing on a wing most weeks hasn't he? From what I've seen it looks kinda likely he'll be mid only.. ???
Think he's been rotating between wing and half forward.

timmyparso

At Sandi's average of 47, he'll only be worth $250K!!!!

He also hasn't strung more than 5 games together since 2010

He may be a little old but if Chappy doesnt come back this year he could get quite a discount

Keen to see his last few games if he gets them, should be very cheap if he only plays one of the next two games and gets a hefty discount!

FALSE - in 2012 (couldn't be bothered to look past there), he played in rd7 8 9 10 11 (a 5 game stretch, granted got injured in rd11) and then 21 22 23 EF and Semi

also, it'll be similar to Leuey this year
if it pays off, then it's a brilliant investment, if not then can always side trade him to a well scoring rook
might be better to keep a FWD/Ruck in the forwards, just for DPP purposes

He said more than 5 games  :P Leuey is 5 years younger than Sandi so would be expected to recover quicker.

Having said that if they have the 2 trades a week again next year and Sandi gets through the pre-season well, he'd definitely be worth a punt starting with him.

If I had to make a team right now, I'd be looking at:

D: S. Mitchell, B. Waters, G. Birchall, M. Suckling

M: D. Swan, S. Pendlebury, M. Boyd, M. Barlow, J. Selwood

R: A. Sandilands, H. McIntosh

F: T. Rockliff, N. Riewoldt, M. Robinson, M. Pavlich

This is assuming Goddard, Heppell and Gibbs all lose DPP, while Mitchell gains it.

When someone says "strung" 5 games, I usually take that as 5 consecutive games, not a total of 5 games for the season. So really you just proved his statement. Good research though ;)

I will not go anywhere near Sandi, Even when he has played, he doesn't seem like his former self. I'm looking at Nic Nat and Big boy McEvoy :)
