Vinny

RB has nailed it !

Top dollar for top players. They are at that price for the reason.

Go for it mate and let the monster scores roll in ;)

Bully

Just a quick question Wato, will the upgrades occur next week? And if they are, will that leave you with only 1 trade?

Vinny

He said earlier that the trades will be spaced over 4-5 weeks.

I'm assuming he will wait for Griffen and Beams to drop with their current high BE's

I can't see Murphy averaging that much more than Mitchell in the run home, will probably be around the same give or take 4-5 ppg.

Serious? Murphy Vs Mitchell from here on in will be chalk and cheese. ;D Murph on the up and Titch on the down IMO. Remember we are talking proven prem Vs rook . :o
Yes Tmitch has been good but it will end.

Thanks for that read RB. Was exactly what I wanted and you gave it. Summed everything up, and you're exactly right on every point.

Cheer cheer cheer cheer you for the next few days!

And for you aswell Vinny and anyone who has helped.

Yes Vinny is correct Bully. Yes the trades will be spaced.. No point doing it all at once.

Thinking of now getting rid of Swallow (BE of 114) and keeping Mitchell (BE of 64). Thought about it long and hard and saw the BE of both him and T Mitch and the BE's of both Griffen and Beams. If I kept Swallow at $461k he could easily not improve in cash in the immediate future, and with only $205k I'd be splashing $130k on him to Griff and then hoping Beams to get within $75k of Priddis (BE of 145) so Priddis will go sub $500k.

Getting rid of Swallow gives me $253k and with Mitchell's low BE I'm hoping he can smash out a 110 against Sydney and get himself to $460k within two weeks. Rise of $25k each week. $100k upgrade to Griff.
Priddis to Beams with the $150k left. $480k to $630k or less I'm hoping.

The Griffen upgrade will happen within the next two weeks, whereas Beams will be done with either 2-3 weeks to go.

Then after that ill have 1 trade to sideways with 2 weeks to go.

Cheers for everyone's input, much appreciated!

If your looking for a POD super premo to bring in round 22 or 23 then there is Watson who should be back by then. Should be cheap aswell. Watson atm is sitting on my bench just like Dangerfield for you. Hoping he will be back by round 19-20. Plan to get round 21 off so won't need him to play or play well.

That is very interesting.. He will be very much a POD by then as 90% of people would've moved him on.
He's only what, $528k at the moment? If I can't afford Beams and Watson's played before Round 21 two or three good games I will strongly consider him as my 2nd option.

Thanks so much for that, I will definitely put that into consideration when it comes to that stage. Obviously Watson would've wanted to score two 100+ scores for me to even consider if I couldn't get Beams but that is a very good point you bring to me. If he hasn't played I won't bother at all and go Barlow but thankyou again for that.

Option1- Beams.
Option 2- Watson (If looking good) Barlow (If Watson is looking poor or hasn't played).

Cheer for you mate, thankyou again!

No worries. My plan is to bring Griffen in next week and play Priddis till Watson comes back with the big scores.

Would that leave Priddis as M9 for you? What would your starting Mids be like?

Watto, love you plan! Great thinking outside the box. Thinking of the same sort of thing and would love your advice on it!
OK so ive got 5 trades and I have to trade out Goodes for Grimes which means of got 111k in the bank and 4 trades left.
My midfield is
Pendles, Swan, Cotchin, Deledio, Priddis, Hannebery, Kennedy, Jack. (Mitchell,Martin)

I obviously need Ablett so my plan was to trade Priddis who has a high break even for Murph leaving me with 250k and 3 trades

Play Murph as M8 and then wait until finals and trade up Mitchell to Ablett making Hannes/Murph as M9. Sorry to hijack your thread but you seem like you know what your on about!

Jesty

Kennedy, Jack, hanners and tMitch. You a Swans supporter by chance?.

Yes Priddis as M9. Hopefully my mids will look like this next week.

Ablett, Pendles, Swan, Selwood, Griffen, Cotchin, JPK, Priddis (Watson, Colquhoun)

I still have 8 trades atm fielding Staker for Hanley as D6 and Franklin/Zorko rotating off the bench in forward line.

Thanks heaps man! Sure mate!

That plan seems perfect mate - Can't fault it.

Priddis isn't a true premo like I've I stated before and you need Ablett ASAP, because without him you'll get smashed come finals, so yes move heaven and earth to get him. I would love to see Hanners at M9 for you, because he will be the perfect bench player as he is capable of smashing out large numbers. Murph should be perfect cover until you've completed the trades.

Watch out for Deledio though as he isn't scoring well at the moment. He seems to be the only player struggling in your Mids at the moment.

You sound like you know what's going on, so well done mate, and I hope it all works out for you!

Cheers mate, good to run it by someone! Yeah Deledio is a real worry at the moment, im just hoping he can find some space and form over the next few weeks. I feel like he is a to good of a player not to find some form at some point, your right though he is a worry. Maybe come late in the finals I might look at using one of my last two trades to upgrade him provided I get lucky with injuries.
Anyway mate all the best, thanks for the advice!
