Can understand ele so just letting you know I am supporting the Hurricanes although I was barracking for the Scorchers last night.

Despite my shocking score of 368 for the semifinals still managed to climb up to position 58 overall. So goal to get into top 50 is now realistic

Preliminary Team for final:
Bat: Bailey (c), Katich (VC) Simmons, Birt (Voges)
A/R: Malik, Mitch Marsh (Mascarenhaus)
W/K: Dunk (Paine)
Bowl: Laughlin, Behrendorf, Boyce, Couler-Nile (Hogg)

Comments welcome.

Don't bring that up Oss. I'm known to get very aggressive and violent when this is talked about. >:( :(

Yeah, well, at least Perth generally gets 1 each year. Hobart lucky for 1 in every 2 years :(

Think everyone will have the same team with only deviations being the bowlers Behrendorf/Boyce/Bollinger/Cummins fighting for two spots

Stacked bench. Similar team to me. I have hogg on field and some hack on bench instead of dorf. Also have voges on field and no Simmons. Shame that we have to bench paine and have 2 struggling all rounders on field. Would be good to chuck paine in for malik.

Whats your rank now ringo?

To be fair, Dimitri Mascarenhas isn't a bad option and will definitely play.

The comp needs some serious rethink for next year, start times firstly and the comp can be cut by two weeks easily

Anyway, am sure I wasn't the only one disappointed with yesterdays finish. Overall I wouldn't even say this comp has been a success

Depends on what success is for the ACB I suppose..Good Crowds, good ratings, players looked at for Australia duty and IPL for that matter...kept AFL off the back pages occasionally...they probably will put it down as a success.... ;D

Well, for starters playing 8 games each is crazy. Every team once, and one team twice? It creates bias.

For instance (not that I'm complaining) - Hobart made the finals after winning 3 matches from 8. And 2 of those wins were against the same team!

So basically, Hobart made the finals by winning against TWO teams out of 7, and could come away with the title...
