The rolling lockout helps reduce the capt pot luck pick, and eliminates some luck of which rookie to field. I actually prefer it. Input = output.

I sure do get a great giggle around this time of year logging into this website.

Even more so with the rediculous amount of extra trades we had this year,  and goons are still up the creek without a paddle!!

Classic

Cant wait till our finals start for even more amusement when GS starts hitting, along with teams not featuring in finals sending players off for early operations to make sure they are ready for a solid preseason

This time of year always sorts the boys from the men

What a douche!  ::)

FonFatty

Was so close to picking him up last week and moving Goodes to midfield for mpp.
This is not a catastrophe, he should be back for finals, the only concern I would have is if the injury lingers for a while it could effect his scores.
Geez SC has been a nightmare thus year, has there ever been this many injuries to popular players in SC history?

I can just see the carnage continuing through the finals.
For now I am going to hold all my trades and keep Goodes as a loophole tool, Clisby is due for a monster score :P

It has been a fun and frustrating year of sc . .but that's what makes it interesting . .
I have kept Watson , and will keep Hanley , have 7 trades 680k in the bank and 3 up grades to go , pittard , Mitchell and Nichols ,
CFC is very wise . . I looked at my leagues and realised I could hold fire and keep some trades . .
I may not make top 4 in all but will make it . .
I think the 30 trades is enough , and makes it interesting , rolling lockout you can get hurt if you have a life at some time on the weekend (only been hurt a couple of times )  :(

so, like, remember when we had 24 trades for the year?

i think most have allocated the same amount of trades but have just traded harder to get a completed squad earlier. 2 injuries for me and 1 trade.

hanley might be back goodes wont be so hanley stays.

Yep.

Limit trades. No more funny buggars with rolling lockouts and loopholes.

Then we can all get our lives back.

Carlton won't rest anyone after what happened last year against the Suns up there.

gibbs has been resting on the field looks like he is going half pace. I worry something is wrong with him

For those with extra trades and are in a quandry, just bear in mind that Hanley plays Geelong in the GF so don't expect a ton. Worst case scenario, out for 4 weeks and then plays one modest warm-up game and is heavily tagged by the Cats in the last. Is it really worth it?

So do I. It just looks like he is carrying an injury or something

2 trades every week would take out the strategy involved would it not. Basically everyone would end up with pretty much the same teams. ??? Limited trades is good IMO.

To an extent, but come seasons end you possibly have to strategize and mix things up with a few unique picks. Im liking that challenge atm as the top 4 teams in my comp are pretty similiar. They all have Cornes as an M5, I've opted with Ebert. Most have Priddis ive chose Masten and where they have either Jack or Kennedy im going with the old work horse O'Keefe.

Goddard won't be rested against the Hawks, although I assume you're just hypothesising about things could get worse this week  ;)

Gibbs has been tagging the last month or so, but probably still should be scoring higher than he is.

any this rate I will have like 12 fit players by the time I get to finals...
