Means I might have to look a bit further for a replacement for Goodes!

Will affect many.

2 trades every week would take out the strategy involved would it not. Basically everyone would end up with pretty much the same teams. ??? Limited trades is good IMO.

Agreed

Yep, I agree as well. Keep a bit of strategy in the game, after all, it is a game...

totally agree. you got to be allot wiser to play supercoach

I have Danger, Goodes and Hanley.

Going to trade out Goodes and Danger and hang on to Hanley. Hopefully he will miss just the 2 weeks. Won't have any decent back up in my DEF or MID this week so hopefully there won't be any more outs!

I've literally been cursed all year! This ices the SC cake!
Birchall, Rioli... Injuries to Dangerfield, Watson, Franklin.... Suspensions to Stevie J then Bartel.
Bringing in players who dramatically lose there form eg Swallow, Hartlett!
But this hurts! Had a bad feeling trading Terlich - Hanley last week! Great!

So with 4 trades and my defence in turmoil what do I do?
Goddard, Hartlett, Gibbs, McKenzie, Vlaustin, Clisby (Hanley, Thurlow)

I can burn a trade and bring in Oxley for Thurlow and swing Staker in the back.

My plan was to trade Vlaustin to H Shaw/Ibbo but this plan has gone out the window now.
I still have Dangerfield on my bench as well.

This injury to Hanley is just a plain old kick in the guts!!

Vlastuin to Grimes.

Then just hold and play Clisby mate - As most are doing.

Don't think Hanley will be out for as long as expected.

Plus trades are gold.

Holz

I have good cover everywhere except the backline.

1 trade left, goodes and hanley both go down in the same week.

Goodes to Hibberd and Staker on field.

Webster better play now.

I sure do get a great giggle around this time of year logging into this website.

Even more so with the rediculous amount of extra trades we had this year,  and goons are still up the creek without a paddle!!

Classic

Cant wait till our finals start for even more amusement when GS starts hitting, along with teams not featuring in finals sending players off for early operations to make sure they are ready for a solid preseason

This time of year always sorts the boys from the men

I would not go Hibberd mate, he has not been over 100 in 6 weeks ? Better options imo. Hope you get close to the 50k

Would love to see your team along with your league, league ranking team ranking and trades left. A lot of variables to be placing everyone in the same basket.

ok keep your powder dry people, stay cool  8)

As i recall last year we didn't have too bad a run with injuries/resting especially in the finals.
This is what this game does, bites you when your not ready.
What counts is how you handle it. 8)

So with 2 rounds to rub before finals can i suggest a couple of things before you hit the delete button;

If low on trades check your league status, ladder position.
See if your safe to make the finals. If so bench hanley and co and rely on your bench boys. Hold your trades
Of course if you need to win to make the 8 then check your league match ups to see if they have a disadvantage as well.
If your have to trade make it count as an advantage
Think about gaining an advantage over your opponent by the Captain choice
Check your likely match up in the finals to see if hey also have carnage
Check what the teams in the 8 are scoring especially last week. I have seen some that are top 4 and scoring below others but through luck ( in the MBR's ) picked up  3 wins but wont win finals

And most important of all don't give up and fight to the end. You have put all the work in so far this year it would seem
a waste to toss in the towel.

But if you are royally screwed and cannot make it i feel for you, but see if you can make a difference anyway.

This games not meant to be too easy and tests your patience but hey thats why we always come back the next year.

Good luck to all  8)

Very good advice CFC ! +1

I've avoided trading as my draw is easy until finals and my finals spot is pretty much guaranteed. :)

Reading my league opponents and deciding trades based on that has been vital for me.

Grazz

Im just sitting here laughing because the alternative is to depressing lol. As much as it hurts I still enjoy the limited trades even if it means a bit of pain and anguish haha. :'(

Jesty

As someone has said before, it is the rolling lockout that I dont like. Lock in Friday arvo and leave it. I think I have wasted a few trades because I could trade up to the last game on sunday or monday thinking I can get the win that never happened. ;D

tor01doc

Yep.

Limit trades. No more funny buggars with rolling lockouts and loopholes.

Then we can all get our lives back.
