Jack Grimes

I am looking at picking up Grimes for Goodes.
Having a look at Melbourne's finals draw I really believe Grimes could put in some decent scores.
He has been back for 3 weeks now, although he hasn't set the world on fire (Syd 72 points, Geel 92 points, Bris 65 points) I think he should have his confidence back in his injured shoulder.
With North this week (ave 90) GWS (ave 97) Gold Coast (ave 105) Freo (ave 90) Adel (ave 80) and WB (ave 97) I could not possibly do worse.
At just under $375k this guy is a good PoD at bargain base price, last season he finished the season off (last 6 games) averaging 102, be it against 5 of the 6 teams that he has to face for the remainder of this season.

83 v North
110 v GC
101 v StK (doesn't play them again this year)
115 v GWS
103 v Adel
97 v Frem

Just quietly I think he could be the difference for me in a few finals games.
What are peoples thoughts?

A good option in that price range, others to consider would be Duffield and even Birchall who will back in a week or two.

I'm loathe to consider draw too strongly given the 3300 rule.

Grimes is a massive go-re for mine based on:
Price v pedigree/history
Role: plays midfield, I know did a tagging job on the weekend
Ball use is great
Tackles hard

He' massive value at that price. Grimes' can pump out premium scores and he had a lot of followers on here during preseason.

I also think Grimes is a gun when he is up and going. I have another question. Would you go goodes to grimes or trade goodes and then swap staker back (making him d6 with clisby d7 and j. clarke d8) and getting a cheap f8 which wouls leave me with 300-350 k in the bank?

Both of those have merit. If doing the latter and getting a cheap f8 (X Richards DPP with Staker) the $350k can be spent on other upgrades...depends on your team and number of trades.
