6 trades left, 275k, here is my side:

Goddard, Ibbotson, Hibberd, Shaw, Hanley, Duffield, (Goodes, Clisby)
Gazza, Pendles, Heppell, Jelwood, JPK, Mundy, Priddis, TMitch, (Hrovat, Saunders)
Goldy, Nicholls, (Blicavs, Rowe)
Stevie, Walker, Rocky, JJK, Roughy, NicNat, (Staker, Daniher)

I am happy with my Rucks/Forward line ATM. NicNat is a concern, but Staker and Nicholls are both scoring way better than most premiums so I'm happy to start them.

I also want to have 2 good players as bench cover in DEF/MID, where there are 14 players, but 1 is enough in RUC/FOR, because there are just 8 there.

ATM i have just 1 player as bench cover in DEF/MID, but that is Goodes who is injured. So I'm thinking of doing 2 midfield upgrades. Is that a good idea?

i can only afford murphy as my second so questions is, is it worth getting him, or should i wait till i can afford a better premium and use an extra trade?

These are my 4 trade options:

1. Hrovat to Griffen + Goodes to Murphy

Gets me the premium i most want and gives me great bench cover. Problem is that i don't get another week to look at murph, and he had 2 poor ones before his 105.

2. Goodes to Griffen

This option both gives me both Griffen, and another look at Murph. Problem is, i probably wont be able to afford him next week. if so, i have to wait  a while to get my final bench option AND use an extra trade.

3. Goodes to barlow/swan

This option allows me to wait on getting murph and will PROBABLY be able to afford him next week. But it means i dont get griffen who is my prefered option.

4. Goodes to Cotchin

Similar to the number 3, but this means i can DEFINATELY afford murphy next week.

Thanks heaps for any advise!

In your position, it's hard to go past the first option FR!

If you don't do it, you will probably be kicking yourself next weekend.

Leaves you with four trades to gap fill as problems arise.

thabks for that, leaning towards that option. any other thoughts pls?

Footyrulz

now with hanley being out, should i trade him instead of hrovat?

roo boys!

I'd be tempted to keep Hanley, didn't seem to be in too much distress and could well be back for SC finals anyway.

I'd still go for number 1 unless any developments emerge that would keep Hanley out for longer.

Nice coverage once you get both Griffo and Murphy, 4 injury trades will be more than most haha

Footyrulz

hmm now that nicnat is out, do u guys reckon i should trade him and goodes for griffen and a forward premium? (which one?)

This week I would be trading Goodes for a backman now that Hanley is out. You don't want to be relying on Clisby at D6 for the next few weeks. McKenzie looks like a great option. Will get you a 90 - 110 any given week.

I would trade Nic Nat for Cox. Watch Cox go bang now that Nic Nat is out of the side. I doubt that Nic Nat will be back for the rest of the season so Cox will be the sole ruckman at the Eagles.

Then upgrade T Mitchell to the mid of your choice next week. Griffen is the best option in my opinion.

Thanks mate, I will actually be trading goodes for griffen this week, by moving heppell back (so i dont have to start clisby, but in fact duffield).

The question is who to get for nicnat. Cox is in terrible form, and has a massive BE so i would have to wait another week to get him. The problem is, that martin's BE is just 70, so he'll go up quite a bit if i end up wanting to get him.

thoughts?

Hi mate, not sure if I'm missing something but you already have Griffen listed in your mids?

Jesty

Thats confusing.

How do you get Griffen for goodes through heppell  who is in your backline. :o And griffen is already in your midfield :o

Am I missing something?

Jesty

Haha I sat there and stared at that for 10 mins thinking I had missed something but I see Im not the only one.

He's use Saunders and swing him back I'd suppose? Then have two Mid positions open.

But yes why are you getting Griffen in twice? Maybe he's a step ahead? I'm confused as.

Just going on what I read.

sorry guys not sure how i managed that one!  :-[

fixed now, i have ibbotson not griffen and have heppell in my mids.

what do u think now?!

ps. gave u all a cheer for your troubles.

Ringo

Now that you have clarified I would favour option 1.

You will have the option of playing Murphy or Mitchell at M8.  You still have 4 trades left and can upgrade Mitchell when he peaks to another prem if not happy with Murphy.  Griffen imo is a virtual must now if you are to compete in Leagues. Dogs play Dees in the GF so Griff may go big and could be the difference between winning and losing.
