Beams, Cotchin, Barlow, Jelwood or other?

Here is my team, I am trading Blicavs down to a cheapie and upgrading Dalziell... this gives me about $620K

But here is my dilemma:

Beams has GWS this week and should rack up. Cotchin - who I traded out three weeks ago after having him since Round 4 (and not scoring a ton in that time) - is on the up, so I have considered using Cotchin as a stepping stone to get to Beams, in a cash-saving mechanism. I also plan to bring Barlow in to my team as soon as possible too, but who should I cull Dalziell for?

Is Beams ($600K) worth the cash or do I go for Cotchin ($454K) in the short-term? Alternatively I could get Jelwood or Barlow or any other MID as well...

All help much appreciated!


And I need to make league finals too - I'm 9th and a game out plus percentage, very tight league this year!

Beams doesn't look like he'll drop far in cash  :-\ I'd hop on him for 130's each week

I like it, Cotch is a bargain at his price and looks like going 105+ for the rest of the season at least.

Beams will drop a quite a bit. Even if he pumps out a 130, that's about a 20k drop.

Only problem is, if Cotch continues to pump out tons, you'll probably just end up keeping him anyway.

im in the same spot. beams will be good but im going barlow due to the fact that adelaide can leak some big points to miodfielders such as prestia and pendles. even considering making him captain.

+1. Plays GWS and Melbourne, very consistent with a low of just 81 from 15 games!

Barlow is a must I do agree but is it smarter to get him in a week or two or do I need him now?

could always cut Sam Mitchell or even Tom Mitchell for Barlow soon (and go Dalziell ---> Cotchin/Beams)

What about Masten? Lowest score at 76, average 108 in his last five and only owned by 1.7% of coaches, beauty of a POD

Cotch now then Beams, Barlow later if you can...I think Cotch is back, brought him in last week in time for his 140 odd and think he'll at least match Barlow from here, sale, sale, SALE!

I'd wait to see how he backs up. At this stage I'm thinking of swapping Beams in for the most under performing mid in the finals. I am looking at Masten this week 2, not sure about what effect Scooter coming back will have though.....

The Cotch! Averaged 119 in the last 10 games in 2012, all 100+ scores. He's back on with the Tigers on! Low price and break even as with Jelwood. One or the other or if you can bring both in to polish off your 8 mids then your looking dangerous for august action! Yeewww! Bring it on already!

Cotchin would come in for me too except that playing Sydney in Sydney with their midfield ... I'm waiting a week
IMO scooter back will not affect Mastens scoring ... may increase it ... may not be a Shuey for WCE too  :-\
