Why are people not interested in domestic cricket?

I was looking through cricinfo today, scrolling through some of the English county batsmen, and i came across the points table for the Championship, and it's quite interesting. I already knew sort of what it was prior coz of my cricket captain experiences, but when i saw it today i made a connection. So points are awarded somewhat like this:
Win: 16
Tie: 8
Draw: 3
Lose: 0

Batting Points, first innings only untli the 110th over:
200-249: 1
etc up to 400+: 5

Bowling points, first innings only until the 110th over:
1-3: 1 point
4-7: 2
8-10: 3

What it shows is that this game suits atracking cricket. Meanwhile the Aussie format is too basic and playing for a draw isn't a bad thing. In England, playing out 16 draws would probably see you last of the 9 teams, as 3 points and limited bonus points won't be enough. Going Win, Loss, Win, Loss etc.. is much more beneficial.

Helps that there's 18 teams but a change in the Points table to suit attacking cricket would be a good move. :)

I think making the game more attacking is the last thing we need. Our batsmen lack patience as it is

Seems to be working in England. I do suppose however this won't work in FC here as the average IQ of the professional Australian cricketer is quite low. (see: David Warner, Shane Watson)

Once i get out of school i'll be attending most SS matches at Adelaide Oval. :) I don't pay much attention to it now, but it is the 2nd best form of cricket in the country.

Another thing, for South Aussies, right now the level below the Redbacks is the A Grade. Have you guys heard of the new premier league format that's coming out, where all these players are split into 4 teams, North, East, South, West? I read somehing about it in the Eastern Courier last week, don't know whether it's a OneDay or a Two Day competition, but it sounds interesting :) It's basically a level between Grade cricket and the RedBacks.

There already is a u23 comp which acts as a reserve comp.

Also the curators have been rolling the practice wickets at Adelaide Oval last week, cricketers should be back training soon. Which is gonna make finding a carpark even harder :(
