Marc Murphy

I'm a sucker for a bargain and he's staring me in the face screaming to be picked up. My main problem is I've only got 3 trades left and have to replace Goodes. My initial thought was to cull Nicholls but that would leave me with only 1 trade left and an injured Goodes on the bench. The other possibility would be to downgrade Goodes to Yarran, move Staker to D6 and upgrade Kyle Martin to Murphy. My team would be as follows -

Goddard, Gibbs, McKenzie, Hartlett, Shaw, Staker (Yarran, Docherty)
Ablett, Pendlebury, Swan, Cotchin, Deledio, Selwood, Murphy, Priddis (Mitchell, B. Kennedy)
Goldstein, Kreuzer (Nicholls, Rowe)
Cox, Ryder, Martin, JJK, Rockliff, Johnson (Naitanui, Daniher)

If the gods were smiling injury wise, my last trade would be to replace Nicholls with Naitanui and bring in Rioli.

What are people's thoughts?

Im considering upgrading hrovat to murphy. Its only another 100,000 and murphy should average 100 from here in and he will be my bench cover.

Yeah I'm looking at him.have 5 trades left but still holding dangerfield and goodes.so could chop either hrovat or Kmart to Murphy and hope Dangerfield comes back fit and firing..

Interesting Thread.
I have 7 trades left but have Deledio, Fyfe, Priddis underperforming.
Have Crouch, OMeara and Mitchell as M8, 9 & 10.
Have $82 in the bank. For $22K I can trade Crouch for Murphy leaving my mids as:

Ablett, Swan, Pendles, JPK, Fyfe, Deledio, Priddis, Murphy (OMeara, Mitchell)

Maybe too much $$ on bench though and wasting a trade but Murphy may just start to find form after his injury.
He was a gun Premo last year..mmmmmmmm

Mate surely T-Mitch is a keeper for the run home. If not on field at least the bench.

Griff is still expensive isn't he (I'm not watching him) and K-Mart seems to be dead wood.

Combo of T-Mitch/Murph v Griff/K-Mart (and I imagine worse $ position) way superior - then imagine if an injury struck and it gets even more compelling!!

I think Murph is good value and he may go nuts from now and average 115. Worth the punt IMO.

Wouldn't be surprised if K- Mart gets a game this week.  Played really well in the VFL (something like 34 touches and 16 tackles) and given how poorly our seniors played there are quite a few candidates to be dropped for him.
