New Ashes thread

Just starting up an Ashes thread as the other one has gone south. Now lets talk cricket!!

Usman Khawaja should by now be our rock at no 3 but instead we have had him bringing drinks out for two years. I hope this innings will make his career on 39 atm. Go Usman this guy is a class act as a batsman. How we have persevered  with others is beyond me.

At least he did not go for a review. Hughes did and wasted it. Khawaja has played very well for his 50, lets hope he can bat out the day.

K Waj brings up his 50, has looked really good so far. very composed. must kick on though, need him to be there at stumps. same with Clarkey

Doubt it, hes still sort of doing his job as opener (seeing off the first 10 overs etc.), though getting starts and not going on with them is certainly not ideal.  Plus having the extra pace bowler is handy.
  It may depend on whether the tension between Clarke and Watto is damaging the team.

On top of the batters failing, Warner didnt get any runs in Zimbawe either. So it will be hard to justify bringing him into the side.
